Thousand Guineas Information

The Thousand Guineas is a Group l mile race and is one of if not the premier races for three year old fillies during the Spring Carnival. It is held at Caulfield racecourse each year over 1600m.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000 and is at set weights conditions.

The 2019 Thousand Guineas will be run on Saturday the 12th of October, 2019 at Caulfield racecourse.

The Thousand Guineas might not have the honour roll that the Caulfield Guineas has, but it has been won by some champions too, including Allinghi and Miss Finland.

Since the turn of the century, eight horses have won the Thousand Guineas via the Edward Manifold (1600m).
