A South Australian jockey has come under fire after he was caught on video punching his mount in the stomach before a race at Port Lincoln today.
Dylan Caboche was on board the Allan Jarvis-trained She’s Reneldasgirl when she became fractious at the barriers in which the young jockey jumps off and punches the horse in the stomach out of frustration.
She’s Reneldasgirl went on to run 8th in the field of 10 finishing 14 lengths behind the eventual winner.
Sky Racing footage shows Caboche dismounting the filly and appearing to punch her in the stomach.
