New Zealand trainer John Bary could be in Australia sooner rather than later with spring hopeful Miss Wilson, a sibling to his former star Jimmy Choux.

Bary is keen to aim Miss Wilson at the Group One Tarzino Trophy in New Zealand but has a Melbourne contingency plan if she doesn”t make the field.

“The first leg of the series here is attractive if the track is OK for her and if she can get in,” Bary told NZ Racing Desk.

“She’s only won a Group Three for fillies and mares so she could be borderline.

“If she wasn’t going to get a run, I wouldn’t think twice about heading straight to Melbourne without a race here.

“There’s plenty of fillies and mares’ races at set weights over there for her starting with the Let’s Elope and, if she was going well enough, the Myer Classic would be her main aim.”

Miss Wilson is by Stratum out of Cierzo making her a half sister to Jimmy Choux, winner of the 2011 Rosehill Guineas and runner-up in the Cox Plate later that year.

Like Jimmy Choux, Miss Wilson is raced by her breeders Richard and Liz Wood.

The mare put together four consecutive wins last preparation including the Group Three Cuddle Stakes.

She is no stranger to Victorian racing having spent much of her three-year-old season with Simon Morrish at Ballarat before being returned to Bary.
