Renowned jockey Linda Meech is on track for her comeback to the racing scene after an 12-day recovery period following a concussion from a race fall at Flemington.
Meech aims to make her return at the Winter Championship meeting held at Flemington this Saturday.
“I’m feeling really good now and can’t wait to get back,” Meech told Racing.com.
“The first few days after it I wasn’t feeling that great, but I’ve improved every day since, definitely hoping to be back this weekend.”
During her recovery, Meech has kept herself occupied with household tasks, taking care of pending chores and ensuring her new whippet puppy gets sufficient exercise.
The horse involved in the incident, Bitcoin, is reported to be in good health, having sustained no significant injuries.
