SEN have selected Group 1 winner Kementari as their slot representative in Western Australia’s prestigious and richest race, The Quokka.
With an impressive career prize money of over $4 million, Kementari is well-regarded as a formidable competitor. Gareth Hall, SENTrack presenter, expressed his enthusiasm for the selection: “Kementari is one of my favourite horses, so I’m really excited he will be representing SEN and SENTrack at The Quokka. He is coming from one of the inform stables, and it’s great to work with James, Vin Cox and the Godolphin team.”
Hall also believes Kementari’s performance over 1200 metres and past experience, including a third-place finish in the Nature Strip Stakes last year, make him a strong contender for the Quokka.
James Cummings, Kementari’s trainer, sees something truly special in participating in the inaugural running of The Quokka. “For Godolphin, there’s something rather special about being part of the inaugural running of The Quokka with a horse who has successfully campaigned on the western front in the past,” said Cummings. The trainer also highlighted Kementari’s exceptional form and impressive training at Osborne Park.
Vin Cox, Godolphin’s Managing Director, shares the sentiment and considers Kementari the perfect choice for Western Australia’s most valuable slot race. “We are delighted to participate in this journey with SENTrack with Kementari. He is a very popular and talented horse in our organisation. Everyone loves and adores this horse,” Cox stated.
Kementari’s racing career has been nothing short of extraordinary, and the Godolphin stable is immensely proud of his accomplishments. With the support of SEN, James Cummings, and the entire Godolphin team, Kementari is set to make waves on the big stage in Perth as he vies for the title at The Quokka.
The first edition of The Quokka race is set to take place on April 15th at Ascot Racecourse.
