Renowned jockey Jamie Kah is poised to make her comeback to the racetrack, receiving the all-clear to participate in Cranbourne trials after a lengthy hiatus.
Having been sidelined since a serious fall at Flemington in March, Kah’s return was eagerly anticipated as she battled brain bleeding and a prolonged concussion.
Recent neurological tests have paved the way for her return to trials and jumpouts, marking a significant step towards her full recovery.
Acting chief steward Rob Montgomery affirmed Kah’s upgraded status, revealing that she would be allowed to race again if she comes through the trials in good shape.
Kah’s determination and gradual reintegration into trackwork since late June have been instrumental in her steady progress.
Notably, her path to resurgence includes a looming appearance before the Victorian Racing Tribunal on August 16, facing allegations of conduct detrimental to the sport’s image.
