James Cummings is the favourite to head Godolphin's Australian operation
With the announcement that John O’Shea will resign as head trainer for the Godolphin operation in Australia online bookmaker CrownBet have opened the market for who will take the job.
CrownBet installed Charlie Appleby as the $3.00 favourite in betting with the British trainer already having excellent success in Australia with a recent win in the Sydney Cup whilst he also had a fruitful Spring winning the Bendigo and Geelong Cups, the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Lexus Stakes and the Sandown Cup.
Although shortly after markets opened James Cummings has had his odds slashed to take the job with the young trainers odds shortening from $9.00 into the $1.80 odds on favourite.
On the second line of betting is Joe Pride with Mick Price and Peter Moody, Henry Dwyer and Bjorn Baker all kept safe.
