Group 2 sprinter Conservatorium will return from retirement after being accepted to race at Morphettville on Saturday.
The 8YO gelding hasn’t been seen on the race track for close to a year due to feet issues with trainer Gary Kennewell retiring the 42 start campaigner after his last run, however Gary decided to throw him back into work recently to see how he would go.
“He’d had a few feet issues and at the time it was the easiest option (to retire him).
“He looked that good at the farm that we decided to throw him back into work to see how he’d go and how he’d respond to it.
“His feet looked really good … that’d been a big issue for him in the latter part of his career, even when he won in Perth and in Queensland. But they look like they’re all fixed and back where they should be.” he told the Daily Telegraph
Conservatorium will make his race return as a $31 chance with Sportsbet.com.au in the Campolina Stud (bm90)over 1000m at Morphettville.
