Henry Dwyer’s mare Asfoora showcased her talent with a pleasing performance in the Galaxy at Rosehill, finishing fourth by a narrow margin.
Despite the close defeat, connections are considering campaigning overseas, particularly in Europe.
Dwyer expressed satisfaction with Asfoora’s run, stating, “She was great, just a bit frustrating to get beaten 0.8 lengths and run fourth but she ran as well as she could.”
With zero suitable races available locally and ample opportunities abroad, the decision to venture overseas seems logical.
Asfoora’s smooth post-race recovery further solidified plans for international competition.
Pending confirmation, the five-year-old mare is expected to depart for the UK on April 17.
