Appearance kept an unbeaten autumn record with a last-to-first win in the Group One Canterbury Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
The Guy Walter-trained mare produced her trademark brand of acceleration to reel in her rivals under jockey Kerrin McEvoy.
Helped by a genuinely run race, Appearance posted the fourth Group One win of her career.
“She’s just an outstanding mare,” Walter said.
A $5.50 chance, Appearance edged away to beat the three-year-old Not Listenin’tome with Red Tracer rated the unlucky runner in finishing third.
Her victory followed similar wins in the Expressway Stakes and the Apollo Stakes.
Glamour colt Zoustar ran unplaced after refusing to settle properly at his first run since the Melbourne spring carnival.
