Another Spirit Of Boom 2-year-old is set to burst on the scene following the brilliant effort of Jonker in the Wyong Magic Millions. Joker burst clear in the straight to finish 4.15L in front of first starter Skyray and has now firmed up heavily in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic market, now $3.50 with the TAB ahead of Ef Troop ($4.60).
Eureka Studβs Spirit of Boom already has 6 winners from 14 runners this season, including 2 stakes winners at Doomben last weekend, making it 3 in 6 days. The Group 1 winner has more Australian two year-old winners than any other sire in the country, most notably Magic Millions front runner Ef Troop and new favourite Jonker.
2-year-old filly Boom Girl out of Wisp OβWill will make her debut at the Gold Coast this weekend in QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap over 900 meters for trainer Chris Meagher. Boom Girl has had no public trials to date, perhaps indicating she is more then ready to take on the field this Saturday.
Boom Girl was a $60,000 purchase and will this weekend chase a first-prize of $40,200, plus the QTIS 2YO $24,500 incentive. She opened at $14 and is now into $9.50 with the TAB with some punters chasing early value for the half-sister to Ef Troop.
As well as EF Troop and Jonker, Spirit Of Boom has also sired stakes winner Outback Barbie, as well as recent winning 2-year-olds Bold Aurora, Holdin My Own and Legal Ties. Should Boom Girl win this weekend it will make it 7 wins from 15 runners for Spirit Of Boom, standing at nearly 50% for 2017. Spirit Of Boom now has over 2 million dollars earnings.
