The Randwick-based rider Adam Hyeronimus hasn’t been seen riding in Sydney for a few months.
But that’s about to change.
Hippo, as he’s known, is the main trackwork rider for Gai Waterhouse and Arian Bott and as such receives plenty of mounts from Tulloch Lodge.
But he has been sidelined for a good few weeks due to injury on his back.
He has been badly hampered by a bulging disk that required a lot of treatment. It is hopeful he returns to race riding this Saturday in Sydney.
Meanwhile, in other jockey news, the recently crowned best rider in the world, Frankie Dettori, is hoping to receive a few rides at this Saturday’s big Magic Millions meet.
Dettori is here and can ride at 57kg.
And former champion Qld rider, Michael Rodd, who is based these days in Singapore, is also in town hoping for a full book of rides at the Gold Coast this Saturday.
