A Lot Of Good Men on track for WA Magic Millions Classic

Trainer Trevor Andrews is confident Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) favourite A Lot Of Good Men has the right profile to add his name of the feature event’s honour roll at Pinjarra tomorrow.

A Lot Of Good Men stamped himself as the one to beat for the $250,000 event with two stylish wins at Ascot in the past month.

Andrews, who has won the two-year-old event with Ravinia (2006), Time To Climb (2010), Lucky Street (2015) and The River (2016), said he felt A Lot Of Good Men was as good as his past winners.

“I’d have to say (he’s) as good, if not better,” Andrews told TABradio.

“He’s got a bit of scope.

“He looks like he might be a nice Guineas horse, without getting too far ahead of ourselves.

“He’s got a really nice future, certainly over a longer trip.”

A Lot Of Good Men beat two of his key rivals Super Smink and Champagne Street at his most recent start on February 5 and meets the pair better at the weights tomorrow.

Andrews said he felt his promising two-year-old would be well suited tomorrow.

“I’m taking a nice horse to the races,” he said.

“I think this guy has done everything right so far this time around.

“He meets them better on weights and he’s up in trip which should suit him better too.

“He’s in good order.”

Paul Harvey, who retains the ride on A Lot Of Good Men, will be looking for his fourth win in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

A Lot Of Good Men is a warm $2.35 favourite with TABtouch, ahead of Super Smink ($3.60) and Odinaka ($5.50).
