When Emirates Park Stud offered a handsome baldy faced son of Not A Single Doubt for sale at the Magic Millions yearling sale earlier this year, they were surprised at how much interest there was in him.
That interest translated into dollars and he sold for $1.8million to Tony Fung.
Fung gave the horse to Annabel Neasham to train and gave him the name of MAN IN THE MIRROR (ex One More Honey).
Today at Warwick Farm the colt raced for the first time and he is going to get himself a fair following given the way he looks and runs.
He sat back 5th on the fence until the turn, angled off and then accelerated like a really smart to claim the lead 200m from home and hang on for a top debut win.
Tommy Berry rode him and while not winning spectacularly, he won with authority in a field that looks pretty handy.
The runner-up, PARIS DIOR (Pierro – Entrancing), flashed home from well back and the run had Gr 1 Sires’ Produce written all over him. He was a $300,000 purchase from the Inglis Easter sale.

Coolangatta held favouritism for the big race but many will like the way this colt runs.

He ran 57.91sec. he paid $2.50 and his effort saw his price for the Magic Millions Classic tumble in to $15 with Palmerbet.
