Archipeta Beach has opened as the favourite in Saturday's rich The Showdown
Archipeta Beach, an impressive debut winner at Geelong, is the Sportsbet.com.au favourite to take out the feature at Caulfield on Saturday, the Showdown (1200m).
The John McArdle trained juvenile was hard in the market when on debut and was impressive in letting down when asked by Dan Stackhouse, who remains on for the weekend. She heads betting at $5.50.
River Night has been a little easy, out a half point from $6.50 despite being well performed. Another debut winner, Chrome Angel, is out a half point from $8. Beau Rossa has been well specked in early betting, sitting at $9.50 in from $11.
