Punters have loaded up on a horse in the Group One feature at Flemington this Saturday, the Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m).
The Mathew Smith trained Fierce Impact resumed with a very strong third in the Winx Stakes and he gets back to Melbourne where he has a very good record. He opened at $5.50 with Sportsbet and got to as short as $3.90 before settling at $4.00.
He is now the new favourite ahead of boom horse and last start Group l winner Russian Camelot, who opened $3.50 and is at $4.20, keeping in mind he did touch $4.40 but punters are keen to take him on.
Impressive first up winner Perfect Jewel is another drifter in the market with the support for Fierce Impact, she opened at $5.50 but is now out to $6.50.
