Makybe Diva Stakes Information

The Makybe Diva Stakes is a Group l mile race and is the first Group l of the Spring Racing Carnival at Flemington. It is held at Flemington racecourse each year over 1600m and is a great form race for the Spring.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $400,000 and is at WFA.

The 2017 Makybe Diva Stakes will be run on Saturday the 16th of September, 2017 at Flemington racecourse.

The Makybe Diva Stakes is another ideal starting point for the best of the best Australian racing has to offer, with most horses using it as a lead up to the better races, and it does follow up the Memsie Stakes (1400m) from a fortnight earlier.

The P.B. Lawrence (1400m) has been an outstanding form race for the Makybe Diva. Over the last 30 years, 18 winners of the Makybe Diva have come through the P.B. Lawrence.
