Punters have launched into a horse freshened up to win the City Of Marion Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville this Saturday.
Steel Frost, who hasn’t raced since finishing midfield against the bias in the Sale Cup, trialed up well a couple of weeks back and a fast run 1200m should suit him perfectly. He opened $4.20 and has been smashed, now into $3.50 and is the clear favourite.
He holds the call over Fox Hall, also freshened up. He is $5.00 to $5.50 while popular sprinter Casino Wizard is on the slide, out to $7.50 from $6.00. Lord Aspen, who was luckless last time at Flemington, did get to $10 from $9.00 but is back into $9.00.
For value, there was an each way move for This Kid Rocks ($31 – $18), but is now at $26 with the market somewhat settling.
