Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Doomben Race Two Number 5 Outlawed ($14):
Outlawed is sneaky flying for Rob Heathcoate. This mare ran a fortnight back over 1400m at Eagle Farm. She got a fair way out of her ground and while she was never a winning threat, I loved the way she found the line late in the piece. If she can settle closer in the run, she’ll take beating.
Doomben Race Four Number 11 Regal Lion ($9.50):
Regal Lion is knocking on the door for Annabel Neasham. This gelding has been runner up his past two, placing in the Albury Cup two back behind Fawkner Park before going to Eagle Farm three weeks ago where he looked all over the winner but couldn’t quite see it through and had to run for a narrow second to Warp Speed. Like him at 2000m and this isn’t a deep race.
Doomben Race Nine Number 8 Port Lockroy ($7.50):
Port Lockroy has the talent under the hood to measure up but just needs a half positive ride. He was given none in the QLD Guineas two weeks ago and while he made up a stack of ground, he was never really threatening behind Kintyre. He should love the rise to 2000m and with a half positive steer, he’s going to take beating.
Scone Race Two Number 10 Monte Outlander ($23):
Monte Outlander is worth an each way play. Noel Mayfield-Smith trained gelding that ran in the Highway at Randwick on All Aged Day and like most for the meeting, he couldn’t pick his feet up in the conditions when down the track behind Belvedere Boys. That form reads very well for this and on a firmer deck, I think he’s good enough to measure up.
