Over The Odds 1/3/2025 – Saturday’s Horse Racing Value Tips and Bets

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Randwick Race One Number 10 Mailata ($16):

This looks a clear set up for Mailata. Bryce Heys trained gelding that was 1150m back to 1000m two weeks ago here but was a real eye catcher late in the piece when back and closing with purpose behind Photographics. If he can be within range on the turn, he has the finale to take this out.

Randwick Race Three Number 1 Glint Of Silver ($11):

Glint Of Silver is first up for David Pfieffer and I reckon he is here to rock and roll. He hasn’t raced since Dec 2 at Caulfield back in 2023 when leading in the Heffernan, tiring late on the wet track behind King Magnus. Looks to have trialled up really well for the return so I say watch the market and see what it does.

Flemington Race Eight Number 1 Goldrush Guru ($11):

Goldrush Guru is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Barrier trial first up in the Durbridge before going to the CS Hayes when ridden with far more intent and he ran a much improved race in defeat behind Sepals. The rise to 1600m, firmer footing, hard fit, class…has to be respected.

Flemington Race Nine Number 13 El Morzillo ($9.00):

El Morzillo has class and that is going to carry her a long way towards victory. She resumed several weeks ago in The Sunlight where she got a fair way out of her ground but worked home well enough in defeat behind impressive winner Private Harry. Fitter and up to 1200m, good tick over trial, I think she’s in this up to her ears.
