Multiple G1 winner Tofane is the heavily backed favourite in the Empire Rose Stakes
Gun mare Tofane is the Sportsbet.com.au favourite for the Empire Rose Stakes (1600m) this Saturday at Flemington.
The multiple Group l winner has run super races at the mile her past couple and now back to against her own sex, she looks hard to beat and that’s reflected in the market, where she is the $3.60 favourite.
Mystic Journey opened $5.50 and has eased a half point while the class runner of the field, Colette, has been popular in early betting, into $6.50 from $7, and that price will come in further if rain comes.
