The equine talent wasn’t that high at the Flemington jump outs on Friday, but nonetheless there were some pretty impressive performances. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.

Flemington- Friday, April 17, Weather Fine, Track Good.
Heat Four- Rock ‘N’ Gold (1st):
Handy gelding for the Ellerton/Zahra camp that strung two wins together during the Summer before ending the prep with a fifth to subsequent stakes winner Madam Gangster. Really liked the way he went about it here, settling just off the speed before towing the rider into the clear 200m and cruising to the line to win under a big grip. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t win in town. Best of the morning.
Heat Seven- Strykum (2nd):
Two year old filly for the Freedmans who had one start last prep, a fourth at Seymour to Take Pride, who then went on to win at Flemington. Strykum looked pretty good in this particular jump out, sitting second all the way and going about her business really strongly under a good hold from the rider. A maiden win is hers this prep, maybe more.
Heat Eight- Torcida (4th):
Unraced colt for the Corstens, but he looks to have ability based on this jump out. He sat off them all the way, but travelled very sweetly and was held up the last 100m. Could have won the jump out, but was under a hold throughout. Very impressive and nearly challenged Rock ‘N’ Gold for the best of the morning.
Heat Eleven- Billy Vee (2nd):
Danny O’Brien gelding that won on debut a couple of weeks back at Tatura, and tuned up for his next outing with a very nice jump out here, where he sat back before peeling to the outside and going through his gears under a good hold from the rider.
