Castelvecchio and Prince Fawaz, already Group 1 winners over 1600 metres, are the $11 equal favourites at TAB for the Caulfield Guineas to be run on October 12.
The Richard Litt-trained Castelvecchio was victorious in the Champagne Stakes at Royal Randwick last April while Prince Fawaz won the J.J. Atkins Plate at Eagle Farm in early June for trainer Anthony Cummings.
Dubious – trained in partnership by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace – finished fifth as a two-year-old in the TAB Kingsford-Smith Cup won by The Bostonian at Eagle Farm last May and is one of five three-year-olds currently priced $15 at TAB.
