G1 winner Portland Sky heads the odds in the McEwen Stakes
Oakleigh Plate winner Portland Sky heads the Sportsbet.com.au for the McEwen Stakes (1000m) this Saturday at Moonee Valley.
The Matt Laurie trained four year old hasn’t raced since the Autumn where he won the Oakleigh Plate before a game second to Masked Crusader in the William Reid. He is favourite at $2.80 to resume a winner this weekend.
He holds the call over another Group l winning four year old, September Run, also first up. She is at $3.80 on the second line of betting ahead of Esta La Roca, a $6 chance.
