Brave Smash is the clear Futurity Stakes favourite
After a luckless run in the CF Orr, Brave Smash is the top elect in the market for the Group l Futurity Stakes (1400m) this Saturday at Caulfield.
The former Japanese galloper was just plain when resuming in the Australia Stakes at the Valley but bounced back to form in a big way in the Orr. He was trucking up sweetly behind the speed but was badly held up and was one of many hard luck tales. He is the $3.40 top elect with Craig Williams back aboard.
He holds the call over Caulfield Guineas winner Mighty Boss at $5.50, also unlucky in the Orr. Tosen Stardom, who covered more ground in the Orr than a Jenny Craig picnic, is at $6.00, out from $5.50.
The horse that creates great interest is Showtime, who has been $8.50 in from $11.
