Goulburn Overview:
Made Beaufort Park the best of the day. Gerald Ryan trains this son of Warhead, who was unlucky here on debut in what has turned out to be a decent form reference. Then went to Muswellbrook and despite sitting wide no cover, he showed a nice turn of foot when asked and put the race away quickly. Time was only a couple of lengths off the two better class races on the same day, and he did work in the run, so I think it sets up really well for him to put another win on the board. Depth looks suspect so I’m confident he wins. The best value on the program is clearly Fruitful Warrior for the in form Richard Butler stable. Good effort on speed two back at Moruya before being freshened up and racing at Nowra where he was well backed but pulled hard in the run and that sealed his fate. The ear muffs are off, senior jock on, he could bounce back big time at a silly price. Le Lude looks to be a progressive galloper for Joe Pride who resumed in a Gosford maiden and it was an ugly watch getting held up and checked on numerous occasions. Managed to share the spoils but clearly should have won outright. Looks to be a weak Class One so happy to be in his corner.
