By virtue of a favourable barrier draw, Arcadia Queen is now the $3.80 outright favourite at TAB for the inaugural Golden Eagle at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
Bob Peters, owner of Arcadia Queen, drew barrier five for the Chris Waller-trained mare and after all barriers were drawn, Arcadia Queen has tightened from $4.20 to $3.80 in Golden Eagle odds.
The former West Australian galloper won her first race in Sydney at Rosehill Gardens on September 14 in the 1300-metre Theo Marks Stakes before finishing second-last in the TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on October 19.
Brutal lost favouritism after connections drew the outside barrier of 17 for last April’s Doncaster Mile winner.
Brutal was $4 favourite before the barrier draw, $4.60 immediately afterwards, and is now the $4.80 second elect.
Classique Legend, sixth in the TAB Everest, is on the third line of betting at $5 and will start from barrier one.
Kolding, last start winner of the TAB Epsom at Royal Randwick on October 5, has shortened from $6.50 to $6.
Tasmanian-based The Inevitable, victorious in the Silver Eagle at Royal Randwick on October 12, is $8.50 at TAB.
