An impressive debut winner, who opened second favourite, has been an alarming drifter at the Sunshine Coast this Saturday in the Wimmers Premium Soft Drinks Bruce McLachlan Memorial (1200m).
Bold Shot, trained on the track by Garnett Taylor, debuted at the Sunshine Coast and was smashed in betting, and duly saluted, winning by a space. Despite that, he is clearly unwanted in betting, out to $6.00 after opening $3.80.
Happy Event opened the $3 favourite and has been supported, getting down to as much as $2.70 but now sits at $2.80.
