The Australian Cup, the final Group 1 event of the season in Victoria, is set to unfold at Flemington this Saturday.
Among the contenders are the first three finishers from the All-Star Mile: Pride Of Jenni, Mr Brightside, and Cascadian.
Other notable inclusions likely in the field are Champions Stakes victor Atishu, former Australian Guineas winner Legarto, Melbourne Cup champion Vow And Declare, and the seasoned Flemington performer Young Werther, all anticipated to be part of the lineup when nominations are finalised on Monday.
Michael Dee is set to renew his partnership with Legarto, while Blake Shinn is likely to team up with Atishu, adding further intrigue to the race.
Despite being beaten last start Mr Brightside remains at the head of the market with betting apps at $2.70 whilst Pride Of Jenni is at $3.20 to continue her winning form with all other runners $8+.
