Fresh off her victory in the Magic Millions Fillies and Mares (1300m) on the Gold Coast, Miss Roumbini is now setting her sights on the Sydney autumn carnival.
The Mick Price and Michael Kent Junior-trained mare, who has won four of her past five starts, is enjoying a well-earned break in Queensland before her campaign resumes.
“She’s enjoying a well-deserved week off in a nice green paddock up in Queensland,” Kent Jnr told racing.com.
“Then she’s hopping on a bus back down to our Rosehill stables.”
The Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on February 28 is a potential next start for the five-time winner, with Kent Jnr highlighting the suitability of Sydney’s mares’ races.
“There’s a lovely program of mares races for her in Sydney, which will really suit,” he said.
Described as an “exciting mare who loved wet tracks,” Miss Roumbini could target the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill on March 15 if she maintains her strong form.
“If Miss Roumbini could hold her form, she could run in a race such as the Coolmore Classic,” Kent Jnr added.
With her impressive record and versatility, Miss Roumbini is poised to make a significant impact in Sydney this autumn.
