Ten races will be run and won at Rosehill on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out four metres for the entire circuit.

2 Private Harry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could be an absolute rocket so keen to see how he goes in town. 2/2 to start his career for Nathan Doyle, winning impressively on debut at Newcastle before proving that was no fluke with an arrogant display at Hawkesbury and ran time in doing so. Could he be Stakes class? Potentially. If so, he has to be winning this race.

3 Theblade (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very, very interesting runner. He resumes for Team Hawkes after an electric debut win on the Kenso back on Aug 14 when winning by a space and ran good time. Given a good break and his recent trial was great. Trained on the track, keen to see how he goes.

4 Scorching Legend… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) what on earth was that first up win at Canterbury? Did he beat camels or has he returned like a jet? No idea, but visually, the win was spectacular, the way he rounded them up after getting held up til around the 150m. Prefer to watch than back but he gets respect.

3 Miss Hades (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Gary Portelli. She tried her guts out two weeks ago in the Midway at Kembla and was hailed as the winner when she hit the front but was run down late by Justela. Hard fit, found positive form, she takes beating.

6 Justela (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Kerry Parker after a Midway win a fortnight back at Kembla where she gave them a start and a beating and let down with purpose late in an impressive performance. She can certainly go on with it here in what looks another winnable assignment.

12 Satness (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will put himself on speed and give a stack of cheek. He couldn’t land near the front at Kembla last time and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job and tired late in the piece. I think with a more positive ride, he takes running down.

The gate looks tricky for 2 Villasaurus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) but potential wise, he is the best horse in this race, by some distance. He resumed in a Highway at Rosehill several weeks ago, sitting on speed throughout before being clicked up and away he went, gapping his rivals to win and win well. Has eyes on the Country Championships so keen to see how he goes.

4 Lambay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing really well for the Joseph/Jones camp. He comes through the Everido Highway from a fortnight back at Kembla where he looked to get every chance by Scorse and was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there. 1500m should be fine and the way he’s racing, he commands respect.

5 Capital Heart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Matty Dale. Four weeks between runs when racing at Kembla two weeks back where he just looked a bit on the rusty side but he stayed on and was pretty solid in defeat behind Everido. Better for the run and a kind map, he can run an improved race.

I like 6 Bestower (Bet Now:  $SP.00) here. She has run well in town and I am convinced she is racing very well. She should have won on Sunday at Newcastle but was given a slaughter by Digger, getting out too late for a mare that needs time to wind into her work so the rise to 1800m suits and she strikes a winnable race.

8 Gentileschi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness for the Messara/Gavranich camp. She ran two weeks ago over 1400m at Kembla when back off the speed and did make up good ground but was never really threatening behind Everido. Like her up to 1800m, hard fit and does have a touch of quality about her.

11 Tanglewood Jimmy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be respected for Wayne Wilkes. He was down to run in the Highway at Newcastle last time but couldn’t get a start so he stayed home in Taree, got an easy kill and spanked them. He’s racing like he will appreciate this sort of race and the stable rarely misfire when they come to town.

9 Shangri La Spring (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can put his hand up for the Magic Milions with a win here. He has won two on the bounce, the latest at Hawkesbury where he was quite dominant and ran fast time in doing. Has returned very well, good racing style and has that sense of timing.

3 Fiddlers Green (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in really good order for the Neasham/Archibald camp. He resumed with an absolute bang at Hawkesbury, giving them a start and a beating, winning by a space and running good time. Fitter and up in trip, and off that return, he’s hard to beat.

5 Bright Red (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1500m after resuming over 1300m here at the midweeks where he got into an okay spot off the speed before presenting wider and finished off strongly in defeat when third to Little Beginnings. Fitter and up in trip, she appeals.

2 Claim The Crown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Neasham/Archibald since contesting the Country Final at Caulfield where she got a decent run in transit and loomed large to win but just couldn’t quite finish the job when fourth to Torranzino. Has that 2000m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.

8 Modesty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can bounce back into the winners list. He was a strong winner here two back before going to Kembla where he got off the speed and kept chasing but was never really threatening behind Gilded Water. Back to the home track and a bit of cushion in the ground, he rates highly.

3 Glad You Think So (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for John Sargent since racing over 1850m at Newcastle where he got on speed and had to chase Townsend, who teared along in front and this guy just couldn’t quite sustain the gallop, but he was far from disgraced in defeat. Back to this level, he appeals.

5 Captain Amelia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has returned in just about career best form and is one of the leading contender. She was very good but just ran out of condition fresh on the Kenso before going to the lights at Canterbury where she gave them a start and a beating in an electric performance. Hard fit now, she’ll be strong late and has change up speed.

6 Demiana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. She resumed under the lights at Canterbury where she was near the speed and tried her guts out but just couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to Scorch. Good improvement to come and I think with a more patient steer, she appeals.

10 Lulumon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to be included as a knockout hope. She ran behind Monte Kate two weeks back where she got off speed but kept chasing in a pretty good effort when third. She was first up there and had improvement to come, so she commands some level of respect.

14 Bojangles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks on track for a return to the winners list. I thought he was very good two weeks ago at Kembla, getting a mile out of his ground but his finale was quite strong in defeat behind tough on speed winner The Novelist. Can settle much closer and hard fit now, he appeals.

1 Cotehele (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1500m. He resumed over 1300m a few weeks back in The Hunter where he got back to near last in the run and was never a factor when down the track behind Briasa. Much better set up here and he has run well at the track/distance previously. Definite threat.

13 Perfect Thought (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on ice, having not raced since Hunter Day at Newcastle when far from disgraced and a pass mark in his return behind Uzziah. Fitter and up in trip, he’s an improver.

10 Dollar Magic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a ripping mare for Scott Singleton that commands some level of respect. She is five weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when off the speed and kept chasing but she was held late but far from disgraced behind Tristate. Tick over trial was sharp and finds a winnable race.

2 Tristate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land on speed and take running down, as seen in the Starlight last Saturday where he tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite get there behind Eagle Nest. Good racing style, looks the leader and on speed at the Rosehill 1100m, it’s a good spot to be.

8 Fire Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has become a winning machine and has a great racing pattern. He got front end control at Rosehill last time and once he got that, it was pretty much race over and he was much too good. He’s heading in the right direction and will take beating once again.

5 Midnight Opal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well for Nathan Doyle but is just struggling to put a win on the board. He looked the winner when he presented two weeks ago at Kembla but just found one better in I’mintowin. He has that 1400m run under the belt and that should toughen him up for this 1300m assignment. Hard to beat.

2 Yiska (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in good order. He resumed with a bang at the midweeks at Canterbury, getting the suck run in behind before angling for clear air and knuckled down with purpose to win and win well. Maps ideally once again and the race has thinned out after scratchings.

4 Noble Soldier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to be entertained for exotics. He comes through the race at Kembla on Gong Day won by The Novellist where he was off speed and never a factor in an on speed dominated race. This race isn’t as deep and he has a good record here.

NEXT BEST: Race Ten Number 5 Midnight Opal

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 10 Dollar Magic
