26/11/2022 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Morphettville, City Of Marion Stakes day

4 Noble Magnate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one to keep an eye on. I think he’s a smart animal. Team Jolly trained three year old that debuted on Cup Day here where he was kept quite safe in betting in what looks a two horse and the bets were landed with a dominant win. He still looks raw and new to the caper, but I think he goes pretty good.

6 Heaven’s Wish (Bet Now:  $SP.00) deserves another chance. Too bad to be true when resuming here on Cup Day behind Sabermetric, with the shifty track seemingly not suiting her too much so I am be very forgiving of that, especially given she did win impressively on debut before a spell and trialled like a jet leading into her return.

7 Lucky Fortuna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a horse I have plenty of time for. She won like a jet on debut at Balaklava before going to Cup Day here where she got a mile out of her ground and was okay late without threatening behind Sabermetric, who was terrible on Saturday, so how strong that form is? Not sure, but this girl deserves another look.

3 Oh Mo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Sam Burford. Just needs to show more early intent. Ran three weeks ago on the Parks track over 1550m and was very good from near last on the turn when second to Hopon Harry. Prior runs at blacktype level were very good and his overall form just reads so well for this.

5 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up for Michael Hickmott after racing last Saturday over 1400m on the Parks track where he got back to near last in the run and worked to the line very strongly when second to the very much in form My Khalifa. Up to the mile and getting to the bigger track, he appeals.

7 Perfect Route (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can be an improver. He ran in the Happy Trails Final at this track/distance last Wednesday where he got back off the speed and couldn’t get involved when down the track behind Montign. Much better suited in a race like this and at his best, he’s good enough to threaten.

10 Shema (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not a race I want to get involved in. First run for the Carrison camp came over 1300m at Balaklava where she got a fair way out of her ground but really liked the way she finished her race off when second to Victory Time. Back to 1100m I find interesting but noteworthy she was nominated for a weak maiden at Port Lincoln but instead runs here. Good enough push for me.

6 Arty Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating on race day form. She’s had two career outings, running second to Zufasta on debut in town before going to Gawler where she looked a good thing on paper but failed to fire a shot when asked and was pretty plain when fourth. Off the debut effort, she goes close to winning this.

2 Shouri Lad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. Robert Hickmott is a stable that is absolutely cast at the moment but that can be said about most of the trainers engaged in this race. Ran over 1200m in a maiden here on Cup Day and was just fair late behind Fleurieu Flipper. Prior form suggested a maiden win was near. Could well come here.

Firmer footing is a big tick for 2 Designs (Bet Now:  $SP.00). She has found bog tracks in both runs back from a spell, the latest coming in the Kyneton Cup at Bendigo and struggled to pick her feet up behind Station One. Stable should always be respected when they come to Adelaide and she finds a very winnable race.

1 Sebonna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing really well for Peter Hardacre. Strong winner on the Parks track before racing here last Wednesday where she tried hard to run down The Map but that mare stole a winning break and she was miles too good. She’s got the 2500m run under the belt now, which should hold her in good stead.

9 Robe Raider (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up for Mick Huxtable after racing over 2250m last Saturday on the Parks track. She was there to win and for a few strides looked the winner but couldn’t quite get there, finishing a close up fifth to Wolf Prince. She does seem quite one paced so 2500m is fine.

I don’t think 5 Hongbao (Bet Now:  $SP.00) needs to be anything special to win this first up. Formerly with the Price/Kent camp, he now finds himself with David Jolly. Last run came during the Oakbank Carnival when down the track behind the well performed Defining. His trial/jumpout work has been strong and he finds a very thin race.

2 The Magistrate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a 1000m horse so 1050m here should be fine. He ran three weeks ago over the trip on the Parks track where he led throughout. He was there to be run down but found under pressure to fend off The Gov and win, just. Last bit will test, but he has the right racing pattern.

I really have no idea what they are doing with 8 Little Rich Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) but at his best, he’d win this. Just a matter of where he is at. Ran last Saturday on the Parks track and got too far back, never really a factor behind Rodeo. Saves his best for the course proper and with a more positive ride, he can run a much improved race.

7 Exalted Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can bounce back. He ran in the Boolcunda King race from three weeks ago on the Parks track where they rode with intent on speed and battled away okay late. He can race quite well when ridden with a sit so perhaps with a more patient steer, he can run an improved race.

1 Wild Willy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be suited up to 1600m. He was very good late from the back two starts ago at Mount Gambier before going to 1400m on the Parks track and liked the way he finished his race off from near last on the turn when fourth to My Khalifa, who won last Saturday to frank the form. Like him up to the mile and should be strong late.

10 Kyshaka (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Time Thief for Peter Hardacre that resumes. She hasn’t raced since July 30 over the mile on the course proper here when producing an end of prep run behind the then in form Melody Man. Can sprint well fresh and the the trial work hasn’t been too bad.

8 Who’s Clang (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat for Team Jolly. Trialled up really well prior to debuting on the Parks track three weeks ago where he was given a peach by Toeroek, putting him into the right spot behind the speed and finishing best to win well. Form was franked last Saturday and he should eat up the longer trip.

4 Paramedic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a key threat. First run for David Jolly came over 1000m at Murray Bridge where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off behind the in form Manage The Cycle. Fitter and up to 1200m, if he can settle closer in the run, he’ll be dangerous.

2 Classy Kenny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form…can he hold it? Got the suck run behind the pace last Wednesday here and looked in a bit of trouble but found clear air late and launched late to win and nab Rohlon Drunk. He can be hit and miss but off last run, that’s a good enough effort to be competitive here.

8 Manhattan Times (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door I feel. He ran last Wednesday at this track/distance where he got a mile out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off when fourth to Keep Reading. He’s working up to a win I feel and I think if he’s within range on the turn, he can take this out.

5 Outlaws Revenge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the class/quality factor to give this a shake despite being first up. He hasn’t raced since the Spring Stakes at this track/distance when producing an end of prep run, finishing down the track behind Calypso Reign. He can sprint well fresh and a big key is firm ground, which is what he should get.

7 Diamonds (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. Just found them a bit sharp on Derby Day at Flemington behind Asfoora before going here last Wednesday when near the speed and battled on pretty well in defeat behind a consistent animal in Keep Reading. Her best is good enough to win.

10 Smokin Val (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating against these. This mare was a total forgive last Wednesday here when ridden far too warm and failing to finish the race off behind Ocean Reward. She’s a mare who races best when ridden with a sit so if that can eventuate here, she’s certainly good enough to beat these.

12 Lady Simone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing very well this time in for Team Jolly. She ran last Wednesday in the Viddora Final here and chased strongly, trying her guts out but couldn’t quite get the win when third to Calla Dream. The end of 1200m is the query with her, but she has the right form to give this a shake.

14 Lianne (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Jordan Frew trained mare that resumes. This girl hasn’t raced since May 28 on the home deck at Murray Bridge when back and closing off really well without threatening behind Hateech. She’s a mare who can sprint well fresh and although better suited over further, she’ll be strong at the end.

NEXT BEST: Race Seven Number 8 Who’s Clang

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 8 Manhattan Times
