24/5/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Murray Bridge

8 Halliwell (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to resume a winner for Jess Tzaferis. Formerly with Michael Hickmott, she showed good talent when racing with Hickmott without winning. Transferred stables, trial work has been strong and suspect she’s wound up for a winning return. Keen.

9 Layin’ Up (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. Former Phillip Stokes galloper that now finds herself with Jeff Searle. She showed good promise when with Stokes and despite the stable switch, she has shown enough to suggest she’ll be more than competitive.

1 Aramoso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a few chances to break the maiden tag but that said, he hasn’t been far away. Latest run came last Saturday at Morphettville Parks when far from disgraced behind Esha. Not sure he wins, but can run top four.

7 Tripod Terror (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. Chris Bieg trains this gelding, who ran second to Out Of Square two weeks ago at Morphettville, getting back and rocketing late but just couldn’t quite get there when second to Out Of Square. Fitter, up in trip, he appeals.

8 Sav On Ice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came two weeks back at Morphettville when off speed and just didn’t quite finish his race off, perhaps in need of the run. Fitter and up in trip, I say he is a definite improver.

1 Blue Stratum (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. He ran over 1000m at Caulfield Heath last time when just off the speed and seemed to have his chance behind progressive type Biancelli. Hard fit now, up to 1200m, his best is good enough.

6 Let’s Get Down (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since April 5 when a dominant winner at Morphettville Parks. He looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. Good track/distance record, he’ll be strong late and this isn’t a deep race.

1 Karacasu (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing in the John Hawkes at Morphettville where he was outclassed on paper but was far from disgraced in defeat behind behind Watchme Win. 1200m is the query but he does drop miles in grade/depth.

2 Jack The Lad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after racing over the mile in the Cummings two weeks back. He was wide throughout and just couldn’t get involved when down the track behind Regal Azmon. Not sure about him back to 1200m but back to this grade is a big tick.

6 Tahnee Treasure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Peter Hardacre since racing over the mile at Morphettville when off speed and just whacked in the run to the line behnd subsequent Stakes winner Regal Azmon. Tick over trial was good and back to this grade, she takes beating I say.

9 Cullen Skink (Bet Now:  $SP.00) jumps straight to the mile but he looks a horse that is in for a good prep. He resumed over 1200m at Morphettville a fortnight back when a mile back in the run but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. If the sharp rise in trip is fine, he will be around the mark.

5 Call Me Vexatious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a really good record on this track so he’s an interesting runner despite 1300m being short of his best. He hasn’t raced since Nov 23 over 2500m here when down the track, producing an end of prep run. Not sure he wins but can run top four.

2 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over 2250m last Saturday at Morphettville Parks where she landed near the front and although a bit on the one paced side, she kept on and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Back up in trip, real liking for Murray Bridge, she rates highly.

4 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third in the race mentioned above from last Saturday, won by stablemate Party Crasher. He got off speed and kept finding the line in a pretty good effort in defeat. I do think the rise to 2500m suits and with home track advantage, has to be respected.

8 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) might need more racing but his best is good enough to be a threat at a price. He was never really a factor at Mount Gambier last time but I do think the bigger track and the rise to 2500m are two big ticks. One for exotics.

13 Mazovia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned really well for the Clarken/O’Shea camp. She ran at Oakbank several weeks ago where she got back to near last in the run but she tracked up and worked home strongly late in the piece behind Beauty Bound. If she gets a drag into the race, she’ll launch late.

2 Been Our Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land on speed and give his all. He did too much work last Saturday at Morphettville Parks and just felt the pinch late behind Sir Now. Back to the 900m, jump and run, he appeals as a key threat.

7 Grand Host (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Mine All Mine in the race mentioned above. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, I really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

9 Runaway Statement (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can resume a winner. Phillip Stokes trained mare that is first up, having not raced since Feb 15 at Morphettville Parks behind Texan Windstorm where it looked an end of prep run. Given a good break and her recent trial here was more than encouraging. Keen to see how she goes.

10 Eroica (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Peter Hardacre. She tried her guts out a few weeks ago on the course proper at Morphettville and looked the winner over the last 50m but had to settle for a close up second to Declared. Racing well, bursting to win and she gets her chance here.

1 Santastico (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since resuming over 1050m at Morphettvllle. He got into a decent spot off the speed but was plain late, perhaps needing the run. Fitter, his best is good enough to be a threat.

9 Dolcemente (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good each way gamble. John Hyam trained mare that ran two weeks ago over this trip at Morphettville when off speed and kept finding the line in defeat behind Wine Barron. Good record at Murray Bridge, can settle closer in the run and be effective late.

8 Collated (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came at this track/distance last Wednesday where he gave them a start and a beating, letting down with purpose late to win and win well. He commands respect here.

4 Royal Fox (Bet Now:  $SP.00) wasn’t too bad behind Wine Barron in the race mentioned above. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, he was okay late and made up decent headway. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

10 The Mansman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will do me each way in the get out. Phillip Stokes trained four year old that resumed four weeks ago at Morphettville when off speed and worked home with real purpose late in the piece in a good effort in defeat behind Beauty Rising. 2/2 at the Murray Bridge 1400m and with a drag into the race, I think he can finish over the top.

6 Annihilate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after a spank job win over the mile three weeks ago at Morphettville, getting better as the race went on and gee he was dominant after sitting off speed. His confidence is up, he’ll be strong late, hard to beat.

13 Headphones (Bet Now:  $SP.00) rises in grade/depth but she is the best Murray Bridge 1400m horse in the race and in general I say. She just loves this set up, her last start being a win at this set up. Gets a kind map from the inside gate…knockout hope.

NEXT BEST: Race Three Number 6 Let’s Get Down

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 10 The Mansman
