Race One (11:40) : Happy 70th Birthday Martin King Handicap 1200m:
Back Me: 2 Tango Rain (Bet Now: $9.00) looked to trial well prior to the debut here where he carved over from the wide gate to lead and from there, it was pretty painless. Has since trialled at Randwick and won that impressively. Leading contender.
Big Danger: 1 Thronum (Bet Now: $2.90) absolutely lapped up the heavy track to win a fortnight back at Randwick, gliding over the bottomless surface to get the job done impressively. He can take the next step and beat these.
Roughie: 14 Tickling (Bet Now: $18.00) was solid when resuming behind subsequent Rosehill winner Awoke before going to Hawkesbury where Tim Clark rode it a treat on speed to win. More depth, but has upside and draws to get a good sit.

Race Two (12:15) : TAB Highway Handicap (Class 3) 1250m:
Back Me: 1 Ocean Grand Bet Now: $3.40) is clearly the best horse in the race and he is carrying a good horses weight. He started a hot favourite in the Taree Country Championship Qualifier and was eased down behind Another Valley. Recent Coffs Harbour trial was very good, he can sprint well fresh and is the clear class runner.
Big Danger: 3 Attainment Bet Now: $5.00) was a dominant winner two back at Canberra before going to a Highway at Randwick where he couldn’t pick his legs up on the bottomless surface behind Thunder Road. Avdulla takes the ride now, he draws well and is a definite improver.
Roughie: 12 Dylan’s Dynasty Bet Now: $7.00) has been given a 25 day freshen up since racing on his home track at Nowra when he looked home but was nabbed late when second to Akiko Gold. He has run well in Highways previously and and looks a major contender.

Race Three (12:50) : Schweppes Handicap (74) 1250m:
Back Me: The race really sets up well for the Queenslander 5 Dee Nine Elle (Bet Now: $2.15), an impressive at this track/distance a tick over two weeks ago. The lead is there for her on a platter and with a cheap lead, she’ll take some beating.
Big Danger: 1 Pioneering (Bet Now: $3.80) is a handy three year old filly who was given a lovely ride from Jimmy Innes Jnr to win at Rosehill three weeks back against the older mares over 1200m here. Little query on her running a strong race beyond six furlongs, but she is in form, draws well and is a leading contender.
Roughie: 9 Ocean Tempest (Bet Now: $8.50) is a handy type that resumes for James Cummings. She contested a couple of strong races in the Autumn, including the Canberra Guineas. Trials have been encouraging and on her best form, she’d be very competitive here.

Race Four (13:25) : Tab.com.au Handicap (93) 1900m:
Back Me: 5 Pindan Pearl (Bet Now: $2.80) ran over this trip at Rosehill last time out and really let down strongly to get the job done. She will have no trouble here and is a mare in ripping form. Hard to beat for sure.
Big Danger: 3 Loophole (Bet Now: $11.00) comes through the Winter Cup three weeks back where the slow tempo was clearly against him behind Tucanchoo. He has a great record at Canterbury and the drop back to 1900m will only be beneficial.
Roughie: 9 Tradtri (Bet Now: $21.00) has been given a freshen up since contesting the Stayers Cup (3200m) where he simply didn’t run the two miles. He loves racing at Canterbury and looks the speed. He will take some catching with a cheap sectional.

Race Five (14:00) : #theraces Handicap (83) 1550m:
Back Me: 5 King’s Officer (Bet Now: $6.00) ran over the Warwick Farm mile last Wednesday and he produced a lovely turn of foot from off the pace to get the job done impressively. He ran well at this corresponding meeting last year but looks a much better horse 12 months on. Hard to beat.
Roughie: 3 Thunder Down Under (Bet Now: $6.00) is a former kiwi making his Australian debut for Chris Waller. He raced five weeks back at Ruakaka and gee he was impressive there, sitting last in a race where the pace was very slow and he showed a brilliant turn of foot to win. Liked the way he trialled at Randwick and he looks above average.
Roughie: 4 Magical Stance (Bet Now: $9.00) ran over the Randwick mile last time out where he had the charmed run behind the tempo and stuck on pretty well behind Farolitos. Likes this track and is at peak fitness, so it is D-Day for him. Just needs to overcome the tricky gate to be a threat.

Race Six (14:40) : TAB Rewards Handicap (78) 1100m:
Back Me: 4 Raido (Bet Now: $6.50) comes through the Three Sheets race at Randwick where he just got back in the run and really couldn’t get into the race when finishing down the track. Yet to miss a place in three runs at the track and being third up, he should be at peak fitness. Sharp improver.
Big Danger: 2 Encostanati (Bet Now: $4.80) ran over 1000m at Randwick a fortnight back where he tried hard but was simply no match for the very impressive winner Arise Augustus. Draws well and the 3kg claim for Deanne Panya looks a big, big advantage.
Roughie: 3 Isorich (Bet Now: $6.50) ran over 1200m last Saturday at Rosehill where he sat off speed and finished best for a narrow but impressive win. Seven day turnaround is no issue for me, Marshall remains on, draws well and runs well on the track.

Race Seven (15:20) : July Sprint 1100m:
Back Me: Pretty keen here on the three year old for Team Snowden, 8 Redzel (Bet Now: $2.80). Resumes here after a pretty good Autumn, highlighted by a win at Stakes level in the Fireball. Warwick Farm trial win was very sharp and he looked solid next time out at Randwick. Runs well fresh and should take some beating.
Big Danger: 7 Shamalia (Bet Now: $15.00) was outclassed last start in the Healy Stakes at Eagle Farm when failing to handle the bottomless track. Has since trialled well at Randwick and gee on her best form, she’d be a major, major threat.
Roughie: 4 Hurrara (Bet Now: $19.00) comes through the El Sasso at Rosehill three weeks back where he sat off speed and chased hard most of the way to run third, beaten just under three lengths. He should be close to peak fitness now and he is very good when he is on song.

Race Eight (16:00) : TAB More Than Just Winning Handicap (85) 1250m:
Back Me: 3 Powerline (Bet Now: $4.80) is a bit of a non winner, but gee he tries his heart out. He ran at Randwick a fortnight back and ran well but just couldn’t pick himself up on the bottomless surface behind impressive Burning Passion. Firmer surface here will be ideal and surely he has to crack it for a win.
Big Danger: 5 Avonaco (Bet Now: $3.50) drops back in trip after racing over 1500m at Rosehill last time out where he tried hard but was bloused late in a brilliant finish to close out that afternoon. He has a fab record at Canterbury and will take some beating provided he handles the distance decrease.
Roughie: 7 Typhoon Jolie (Bet Now: $4.60) creates some good interest here. This Team Snowden mare is capable when at her best, but she can be very hot and cold. Trials leading in have been solid, including her trial at Warwick Farm recently when leading and going to the line under no pressure. She runs well fresh and she strikes a winnable race.

Race Nine (16:40) : Myboycharlie @ Vinery Handicap (84) 1100m:
Back Me: 8 Princess Command (Bet Now: $7.00) ran at this track/distance at the midweeks a tick over a month back and dashed home hard late to get the job done. Rises sharply in grade depth, but she does look well placed with the likely speed engaged. .
Big Danger: 9 Rose Of Man (Bet Now: $8.00) is a talented mare that resumes for in form trainer Terry Robinson. She was last seen in the Country Championship Wildcard at Muswellbrook when down the track. No trials, but she has been nommed/accepted a few times, an indicator she is ready to run a beauty fresh, and Tommy has ridden her to success previously.
Roughie: 5 Awasita (Bet Now: $9.00) raced at Rosehill three weeks ago when running down the track behind Pioneering. The depth here isn’t as strong and the tighter circuit will only be ideal.
