2010 Caulfield Guineas Tips & Selections

Tomorrows major race at Caulfield is the 2010 Caulfield Guineas over 1600m, for the past few weeks Toorak Toff and Ilovethiscity have been fighting out favourtism for the race but in the last few days the money has come for the Grahame Begg trained Ilovethiscity who has shortened into $3.70 ahead of Toorak Toff at $4.80 and Anacheeva at $7.

Tomorrow Caulfield Guineas looks to be an interesting race in what looks to be a hard race to predict, there are a lot of different form lines leading into the race. Ilovethiscity is coming off a very impressive win in the Newcastle Guineas whilst Toorak Toff finished 2nd in the Guineas Prelude behind Anacheeva after running wide without cover.

There are quite a few unknowns in the race that are heading into the race with relatively poor form lines although the step up in distance could be a major factor which could cause an upset, out of the two favourites we think Ilovthiscity will be better suited in the race as we feel there will be some speed on which will suit the backmarkers.

Kudakulari was one of the early favourites for the race and we think he has been overlooked the past few weeks after a poor run last start, we are happy to give him another go and we think he could be one to watch.

Our selection for the race is Jim Conlan trained Rekindled Interest, he has run on very strongly in his past few races and we think he will be much better suited to the 1600m he has seen a lot of support from punters and apart from Ilovethiscity has probably been the best backed runner.
