20/9/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Belmont, Tabtouch Stakes day

An eight event program has been set down for Belmont on Saturday for Tabtouch Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is soft (6) and the rail is out nine metres for the entire circuit.

3 Snitzalatte (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has class on her side and I’ll bank on that class getting her home. She resumes for Adam Durrant after a strong juvenile campaign, which included a placing in the Karrakatta. Looks to have trialled up really well for the return and with class, she’s the one to beat I feel.

6 Good As Hell (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key chance. Luke Fernie trained filly that hasn’t raced since March 26 when a maiden winner over 1200m here, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. She’ll likely spot them a start but she will be quite strong at the end.

4 Perfect Sister (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Dan Morton trained filly that resumes. She started her career in the Autumn, winning on debut before being thrown in the deep end in the Karrakatta when outclassed. She had another run and was spelled. Trial work has been strong and is a knockout hope.

4 Niccimota (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Jim Taylor and with her racing style, she’ll give herself every chance. She won three weeks ago at this track/distance, leading throughout and she gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Harder here but she’ll take running down.

1 Tawkin Jibberish (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Luke Fernie trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since April 26 over 1000m at Ascot when leading and tiring late behind On The Full. Been given a good break and has trialled up quite well, so watch betting.

2 Bonnie Lad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) resumed three weeks back in the Niccimota race mentioned above. He got back off speed and kept chasing but was never really threatening. Not sure he is good enough to win but he can run top four at a price.

1 My Hidden Universe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me. He resumed in a very strong 72 two weeks ago at this track/distance and while I am not sure he was entirely happy on the bog track, he kept chasing and was far from disgraced in defeat. Back to this level, just needs to overcome the gate and he’s the winner I say.

5 Go Go Grommet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing really well at present for Team Gangemi but just can’t quite crack it for a win. He tried his guts out last Saturday at this track/distance but couldn’t quite get there behind Tropicconi. He’ll be around the mark once again.

2 Deamber (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented mare that resumes. Her best would see her beat this field quite comfortably but it’s just a matter of where she is at because she didn’t really fire a shot when last in work. Market will tell you if she’s ready.

6 Kay Tee Why (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a smart galloper for Adam Durrant that resumes. He did some nice things last season as a three year old, especially when taking on older horses, so he is well and truly up to this level and will be strong late. Resumes without a public trial so the market will be the guide but I think he’ll run a beauty.

1 Ginnivan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since resuming in the Jolly Beggar where he did a stack of work to lead and that early burn just told on him late in the piece behind Hanchi. Front end control, he’s dangerous against these.

2 Ghost Who Walks (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a couple of weeks between runs for Neville Parnham after racing last Saturday in the Jolly Beggar where he chased strongly from off speed but couldn’t quite get there when second. Only has to hold his form and he’ll be around the mark.

2 Sensessional (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has eyes on the Railway you’d assume so keen to see how he goes. He is five weeks between runs since a track/distance win in the Blue Spec, where he had a few nervous moments in the run but in the end class came to the fore. He has the runs on the board, maps ideally, clearly the one they have to beat.

4 Kaptain Kaos (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing very well without winning at present. He ran two weeks ago in the Farnley when chasing strongly from off speed but just found one better in Cool Memory. He has pushed Sensessional hard before so don’t discount him as a threat.

7 Blazing Away (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has also been given the five week freshen up since the Blue Spec. He ran third and was a beauty in defeat given he was only second up and is better suited at 2000m+. May need this run but off last start, I say he has to be a must for exotics.

9 Nine Ball (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has earned a crack at Saturday grade. She has won her past two, the latest being at the midweeks at this track/distance when giving them a start and a beating, producing a brilliant finale to score. Good test here, but confident she measures up.

1 Corn Cob (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after a romp a fortnight back over 1300m here, lapping up the bog track and made an absolute mess of them by over five lengths. Tricky gate but gets in well after the claim and off a dominant win, has to be respected.

2 Blazing Emerald (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since resuming over 1200m here where she got a mile out of her ground and was never really a threat behind Desert Nymph. Better set up here and has a decent second up record so don’t dismiss her.

10 Twilight Tale (Bet Now:  $SP.00) stays at the mile but she is a mare with promise and good upside to come. She placed here two weeks ago, getting a fair way off speed but really liked the way she finished her race off in defeat. If she can be within range, I think she has the finale to get the job done.

1 Shmoov Moova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over 1400m here last Saturday. She got into a lovely spot behind the speed and tried hard but had no answers for a horse who I think could be a leading chance for the locals in the Railway, Cosmic Crusader, so that form reads very well. Hard to beat.

11 Decision Maker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout as a first four contender. He ran over this track/distance at the midweeks last start when back near last in the run but made up a stack of ground late to finish second. Not sure he is good enough to win but a must for exotics.

9 Scully (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He comes back to 1200m after racing over 1300m last Saturday here when back in the run and while he was never threatening, he did close off really well late in the piece behind Essentric Nature. Back to 1200m, can settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

3 King Adviso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 66 grade after a 72 win a fortnight back at this track/distance, handling the bog track best and slogged it out to score. Back up in the weights but is off a win, good racing style, he takes beating.

6 Our Rocky Bay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a total forgive from two weeks back when resuming and was tailed off behind King Adviso, perhaps choking down after sitting wide no cover. He’s a good horse when right so he can run a much improved race.
