2/8/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Pinjarra, Jockey Celebration Day Stakes day

Eight races have been set down for Pinjarra on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (6) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

9 Coracao (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 1200m after debuting over 1000m at Bunbury two weeks ago. She got back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, I really liked the way she finished her race off. Fitter and up in trip, I say she takes beating.

5 Hubble’s Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) debuted three weeks ago at Bunbury on a testing track when wide no cover on speed and tried hard but the early burn just told on him late in the piece. Better for the run, Pike steering, he’s in with a shout.

4 My Authoritah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Playing God that resumes. He didn’t quite set the world on fire in two runs when last in work but has been given a good break and has looked to trial up really well, so I’d say watch betting and see what it does.

7 Kiralui (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Team Pearce since resuming at Pinjarra where you can argue that he wins if he got a proper clear path. H was going to burst through and be right in the finish but got badly checked. If the breaks go his way, he’ll be hard to hold out.

4 Bondi Plunge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Bondi that resumes for Dan Morton. He is first up, having not raced since May 17 when down the track at Belmont. I can’t find a recent trial for him so watch betting but he does go well fresh.

6 Famous Jurney (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting on in years but his best is good enough to be dangerous. He hasn’t raced since March at Ascot but with a good racing style, I can see him running a cheeky race at a price.

8 Spectacular Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. Michael Grantham trained gelding that ran at Belmont last Saturday when back off the speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Simply Thinkin. Tricky gate, but this isn’t a deep contest.

11 Countess Of Kenna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned really well and is one of the hardest to beat. She resumed over 1100m at Northam when near the speed and was trucking before being clicked up and while I doubt she wasn’t 100% happy on the wet track, she was too good. Leading contender.

4 Forever Dreaming (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Colin Webster after resuming two weeks back at Bunbury. She was wide no cover on speed throughout and the hard run just told on her late in the piece. Better run in transit, her best is good enough to be a threat at odds.

1 Vast Art (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one after his return two weeks ago in the Bolton Sprint, working home with real purpose when secondto Wind And The Lion. Fitter, up in trip, depth not as deep…keen.

9 Lord Gannicus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m for Team Williams after a win over the mile at Pinjarra, leading throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found to fend them off and score. He’ll give a good account of himself.

7 Blazing Away (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up and although better suited over further, he can pinch a first four spot. He hasn’t raced since May 3 at Belmont when placing in the Rogan Josh. He is better suited over further but will be strong late and is one for wider exotics.

4 Petrouchka (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. Team Williams trained mare that resumes, having not raced since Feb 15 at Pinjarra when racing over 1400m and just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Captain Pluto. Fresh at 1400m signals real intent and good lead too that Pike rides.

9 On Patrol (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading contenders for Team Casey. He ran second a fortnight back at Bunbury when off speed and chased strongly but couldn’t quite finish the job when a narrow second to Linden’s Gold. Hard to beat.

3 Kelvinator (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after racing last Saturday over 1200m at Belmont. He attempted to lead throughout but just found them too sharp and dropped out. Fitter and up to 1400m, he can run a much improved race.

3 Dun With The Blues (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ready to win. Looked like it would come two weeks ago at Bunbury when she found the outside fence but just found one better in Snazzler. Confident she can turn the tables, especially getting to a bigger track like Pinjarra.

2 Snazzler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for the Pateman camp and now he’s got a win on the board, he can certainly go on with it. That win came at Bunbury in a real struggle where it was survival of the fittest, which he was. He can win again.

7 Admired (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a first four threat. I thought he was a total forgive at Bunbury behind Snazzler given he was wide no cover throughout and keen in the run. Better luck in transit this time around, he can threaten for sure.

11 Shmoov Moova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could put his hand up to be a force during the Carnival. Very progressive animal for Simon Miller that resumes, having not raced since March 13 when an impressive winner at Ascot, making it two on the bounce and four of his last five. Given a good break and his trial has been electric.

3 Wubin Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading contender after a win three weeks ago at Bunbury where she gave them a start and a beating in an impressive performance. If within range, she has the finale to take this out.

2 Petula (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Simon Miller trained mare that resumes. She hasn’t raced since the Autumn when outclassed in The Joey behind twain’s Angel. She’ll spot them a start but her best is clearly good enough to be a threat.

6 Uncle Gerard (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and he gets her chance. He ran over 1400m at Bunbury two weeks ago when back on the inside before angling for clear air and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. He can get a win on the board.

1 Outspoken Lad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness after racing over 1400m a fortnight back behind Linden’s Gold when third. He had his chance but stayed on and was really good in defeat. Good racing style, he’s dangerous.

5 Ton Of Grunt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran behind Linden’s Gold two weeks back at Bunbury. He had a suck run in transit behind the speed but couldn’t pick his feet up on the wet track. Hopefully a firmer deck, he’s a definite improver at odds.
