Nine races have been set down for Doomben on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out 4.5 metres for the entire circuit.

5 Thinking Gold (Bet Now: $3.70) is top seed for me off the back of a first up second over this trip at the Sunny Coast, closing strongly from off speed when second to Clive’s Glory. Good upside to come, kind map, he only runs well.

2 Bluepinot (Bet Now: $6.00) ran in a strong Class 6 a fortnight back where he looked outclassed on paper and while he ran accordingly, he was far from disgraced in defeat. Back to 70 grade, I say he’s a definite improver.

7 Clive’s Glory (Bet Now: $6.00) won the race mentioned above from the Sunny Coast. He had front end control, led throughout and was impressive in the run to the line. Good racing style, he commands respect.

7 Artful Gurl (Bet Now: $9.50) steps up to 2200m after racing over 2000m last start here two weeks ago, getting a mile out of her ground but worked home with real purpose when second to Benzino. The rise in trip is ideal and if within range, she has the finale to score.

4 Benzino (Bet Now: $8.00) has been a model of consistency in recent times and was rewarded with a gritty win a fortnight back here, leading throughout and had enough in hand to score. Extra 200m is fine, good racing style, he’s in the mix.

11 Scottish Pearl (Bet Now: $31.00) comes back to 2200m from 2450m at Beaudesert last start. She got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish the job. Back in trip is fine and is one for exotics.

1 Yet He Moves (Bet Now: $6.00) should prove hard to beat for Chris Waller after racing over the mile two weeks ago here, getting off speed and while he was never a winning threat, he was pretty good late in the piece behind Esjay. The rise to 2000m is ideal and he strikes a very winnable race.

2 Firm Agreement (Bet Now: $10.00) ran over 2200m on Ramornie Day at Grafton, looking the winner when presented in the straight but had no answers for the finale of Barazin. Racing well, versatility re racing style, he is in the mix.

6 Cavalry Man (Bet Now: $3.80) is three weeks between runs since racing over this track/distance, ridden upside down I thought and was a beaten horse a fair way out when last behind Chillaxing. Think with a more patient steer, he’s dangerous with his best.

6 Cascading (Bet Now: $2.40) was game in defeat behind Tengun Tommy two weeks back here. Think they may have ridden her a touch warm but that said, I thought she had her chance, though was far from disgraced. Race here not as deep, she appeals.

2 Slippin Jimmy (Bet Now: $4.50) has been strong in two runs back, both coming at Grafton. First up he won the Springboard Prelude before a solid third in a hot edition of the Springboard behind Royal Exile. He takes beating against this lot.

7 Missile Shot (Bet Now: $3.70) is a Liam Birchley trained three year old that resumes. He had two runs in the Autumn to start his career, the second run seeing him win well at Mackay. Trialled well for the return, he’s in the mix.

11 Stormland (Bet Now: $2.90) looks very well placed. He ran at the midweeks at Warwick Farm last start and was very good late in the piece from off speed behind Jarrito. Hard fit and back to a moderate Class 3, he takes beating.

3 Braveheart (Bet Now: $2.90) ran second to Let’sfacethemusic three weeks ago over 1110m here. He sat near the speed and tried hard but had no answers for the impressive on speed winner. 1200m is fine, good racing style, he takes beating.

7 Razors (Bet Now: $20.00) is a Jack Bruce trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Jan 23 when down the track at the Gold Coast. Given a good break, one soft trial, but can sprint well fresh and he does have class when right.

1 Grinzinger Champ (Bet Now: $1.90) has found winning form and she can go on with it. That win came two weeks ago at this track/distance, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive performance. Has good upside to come and off that performance, I say she’s a top seed.

10 Spirit Of Barty (Bet Now: $4.00) was game in defeat two weeks back behind Grinzinger Champ here. She was game in defeat I thought given she was wide early and did work to land on speed, trying hard but just had no answers late. Better run in transit, she can run a much improved race.

2 Hey Daisy (Bet Now: $31.00) ran over 1000m during the Grafton Carnival when ridden with a sit and kept finding the line in a pretty good effort in defeat. Like her back up in trip, she’s one for exotics.

10 Just Flying (Bet Now: $7.00) should love rising to the mile after resuming over 1350m here two weeks ago, working home with purpose from off speed when a close up third to Dirty Dancing. Good upside to come and rising in trip, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

1 Daggers (Bet Now: $2.10) takes beating for Tony Gollan after a dominant track/distance win a fortnight back, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Good racing style, he’ll look the winner for a fair way.

3 Cunnamulla Fella (Bet Now: $4.50) ran a game second to Daggers two weeks back at this track/distance, trying hard from off speed but couldn’t quite get there when second. He’s racing well, knocking on the door and commands respect.

13 Zoubaby (Bet Now: $3.30) is three weeks between runs since a win over this track/distance, sitting off speed before coming with a well timed run to finish best and score. Her confidence is up, she can win again in what is a winnable open sprint.

12 Let’sfacethemusic (Bet Now: $3.50) will jump on the bunny and take running down, as seen three weeks ago at this track/distance, producing sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. Good test here but think he can measure up.

7 King Yoshi (Bet Now: $31.00) was a total forgive from the Swiss Ace Plate, sitting back and wide and was never really a factor. 1110m is his outer limit but class wise, he is nearly top seed, so he has to be given respect.

3 Ouroboros (Bet Now: $3.20) was game in defeat in the Rocky Newmarket last time, leading most of the way but just felt the pinch late when third to Demon Award. Good racing style and with front end control, he’ll take running down.

4 Beaux Rumble (Bet Now: $27.00) steps up to 1350m after racing over 1200m here last start. He was near the speed and thought he was there to win but just whacked in the run to the line behind Taltarni Fields. Has run well at the track/distance before and has a good racing style.

2 Manolo Bling (Bet Now: $7.00) steps up to 1350m after racing over 1200m in the Ramornie at Grafton when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind Band Of Brothers. Like him up to 1350m and this is a big drop in depth.

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 3 Ouroboros

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 10 Just Flying
