4 Straand Deal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have a bit on these. Lloyd Kennewell trained gelding that ran over 2000m at Caulfield three weeks ago when back in the run and made up decent headway late without threatening behind Bring Forth. This race is nowhere near as deep, he rates highly.

6 Tyusix (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Ballarat. They rode with intent to land on speed and she was as game as ever but just couldn’t quite see it through when fourth to Bold Strike. More conservative steer, she can take this out.

5 Talisay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over 1500m here last Saturday. She got back in the run and made up some headway but was never really threatening. Like the rise in trip for her and her best is good enough to be dangerous.

2 Omaha Dawn (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in two runs back and for me is the straight bat play here. Dynamic first up win on the Parks tracl before going to 1100m here three weeks ago when off speed and chased strongly in defeat when third. Hard fit, she takes beating against these.

7 Artistic Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes straight to town after a first up maiden win at Murray Bridge. Landed in a decent near the speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away she went to win and win well. Good racing style, in form, she’s right in the mix.

1 In Love (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this trip two weeks back on the Parks track. She did early work to land on speed and tried hard, as she always does, but just felt the pinch late when fourth to Pure Bliss. That was her first run in several weeks so with room for improvement, she’s dangerous.

I think 1 Hot Statement (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can resume a winner. He hasn’t raced since Nov 15 when thrown in the deep end at Caulfield and didn’t fire a shot behind Gracie’s Rain, but was perhaps looking for the paddock. Given a good break, trialled well, I think he’ll be hard to beat against these.

6 Dreams Fulfilled (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading contender after a first up second over 1000m a fortnight back on the Parks track. He got back to near last in the run but worked home strongly when second to Kick Your Knees Up. If he can be within range, he’s got the finale to be dangerous.

2 Alaa Plenty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1100m here. He did early work from the wide gate and the hard run just told late in the piece. If he can get better luck this time around, he’s a threat for sure.

3 Wine Barron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me here. He ran last Friday at Gawler when attempting to lead throughout and gave a decent sight from the front but had no answers for In That Mode when second. Good racing style, found positive form, he can take this out.

10 Bolted In (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since a second over the mile at Balaklava when off speed and closed with purpose late when second to Midlife Crisis. Racing well and think the rise to 1800m is fine. Leading contender.

4 Shakespeare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since racing over 1900m at Oakbank when off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when second to Savsonic. He’ll be strong at the end. Just a matter of what sort of start he’ll concede.

10 Tropical House… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) I think it could be a case of good luck beating her. Three weeks between runs since resuming at this track/distance. She got back to near last in the run but loved the way she kept chasing and closing off in defeat behind Scandalize. Fitter, depth here not overly deep…really keen.

7 Starts Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after a first up second over 1400m two weeks ago on the Parks track. He got off speed and spotted those in front a start but was quite good late in the piece. Better set up here, good upside, he’s in the mix.

8 Dual Fuel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1400m two weeks back on the Parks track. She was last in the run and was never a threat, but her finale was decent enough. Not sure she can win, but could pinch first four.

3 Sir Kingsford (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won this race last year and I see no reason why he won’t win again. Impressive winner two weeks ago on the Parks track, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. The rise to 2500m is ideal, he’ll lead and take running down.

1 Bankers Choice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Mornington Cup where he got off speed and seemingly had his chance but just whacked in the run to the line behind Kings Valley. He has that 2400m run under the belt and does have class on his side, which will carry him a long way.

5 Burning Bright (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Sir Kingsford on the Parks track two weeks back. She landed in a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just whacked late when second. Not sure she wins but runs well regardless.

13 Amedei (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a nice prospect for Price/Kent. Not sure what she beat when resuming at Seymour but the manner in which she gave them a start and a beating was very impressive and the stable do have a good record int his race so keen to see how she goes.

1 Bootlegger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 1800m in the Port Adelaide Guineas three weeks ago. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just whacked in the run to the line and was no match late for McWoody. Back in trip I like, he’s hard fit, racing well, he appeals.

8 Freedom Flame (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing last Saturday in the Oaks. She landed near the speed and tried hard but the 2000m was a bridge too far. Like her back to the mile, she’s a knockout hope.

7 Amazake (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 2500m for Ciaron Maher after racing over 2400m in the Galilee Final and I think you can easily make a case that he wins with clear air. Instead, it ended up being a nightmare watch so forgive and forget. Hard to beat if he gets room to move here.

8 Engine Of War (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a real eye catcher in the Chairmans last Saturday. Got back to near last, he was never a winning threat but I did like the way he closed his race off, seemingly with this race in mind. You’d like a more positive ride, can settle closer and be effective late.

10 Arabian Prince (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will love getting to 2500m. Just thought he was in the inferior lanes in the Galilee Final but liked the way he kept chasing and finding the line in defeat behind Single Choice. He should eat up the extra 100m, bigger track, firmer deck…hard to beat.

1 Streetcar Apollo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play in the get out. He ran over 1400m four weeks ago at Oakbank when on speed and tried his guts out but just found one better in the in form Fine Future. Like him back to 1200m, good racing style, he takes beating.

8 Clarence (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and commands respect. He won on the Parks track a fortnight back, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. He has been hit and miss throughout the career but off last start, he’s right in the mix.

13 Tapinforpar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was big odds when third to Clarence two weeks back. He got back to near last in the run and worked home with real purpose late in a good effort. if within range, he has the finale to take this out.
