Ten races will be run and won at Doomben this Saturday for Keith Noud Day. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out a metre for the entire circuit.

From what I have seen at the Brisbane trials, 1 Itchintogo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the best juvenile going around and would be my early top seed for the Magic Millions. He trialled here last week and went like an absolute rocket in front, winning by a space and smashed the clock for the morning without being fully extended. Keen to see how he goes and how much of a statement he can make.

3 Boomelli (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a stablemate of Itchintogo that debuted with a win at the Sunny Coast. Did she heat much? No, but she made a mess of them and was impressive the way she put them away. Tricky draw but the lead is that Ben Thompson is sticking.

4 Magritte (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run, which came three weeks ago over 1050m here. He just found them a bit sharp but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. He’ll be strong late and has the race experience.

4 Mr Buster (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in a purple patch for Ciaron Maher and it’s hard to get away from him. Two on the bounce for this guy, winning two back over 1800m at Eagle Farm before backing up a few days later at this track/distance, winning just as impressively. He’s found his groove, hard to get away from him.

3 Connecticut (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 2000m after racing over 2400m a fortnight back at Eagle Farm. He tried hard but just found the 2400m a bridge too far when third to the well specked Counter. Like him back to 2000m and if there is petrol left in the tank, he’s dangerous.

2 Tapildoodledo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for exotics. He ran fourth to Counter two weeks back when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite produce the change up speed, whacking to the line when fourth. First four threat.

3 Vandevelde (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is progressive and heading in the right direction for Paul Jenkins after a maiden win over 1350m at Ipswich where he gave them a start and a beating, finishing best to win impressively. Good test here but confident he can measure up.

5 Diversity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing four weeks back over 1800m at Eagle Farm. She attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent kick from the front but tired late when down the track behind Mr Worthington. I think back in trip and with a more patient steer, she can bounce back.

The market said that 2 Dushenka (Bet Now:  $SP.00) had three legs when racing two weeks back at Eagle Farm and it proved spot on. She had a suck run off speed and seemed to present to be some sort of threat but when asked for the effort, she went backwards. Back to her own age, she can bounce back and run an improved race.

3 El Morzillo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a class mare for Kelly Schweida that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since the Tatts Tiara when a tired horse and looking for the paddock behind Tashi. She is the class factor of the field at her best and has trialled well leading in.

1 Alectrona (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Team Munce, having not raced since Oct 11 over 1200m here when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat when second to Ouroboros. Up to 1350m is ideal, she takes beating.

5 Star Act (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1200m at the Sunny Coast where she just found them a bit sharp but she kept finding the line and was a definite pass mark behind Luton Hoo. Good second up record, she’s in the mix.

5 Great Aspirations (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat in what is an open contest. He ran at the midweeks at Ipswich last start when on speed and he tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through when second to impressive winner Sweet Proposal. Good racing style and will be around the mark for a long way.

8 American Phireball (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and appeals after a last start second here when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind Galano. Racing well and commands respect here I say.

15 Old Song (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 2200m last start. She was ridden with more intent to sit on speed and she was there to threaten but tired late behind Connecticut. Not sure she is sharp enough to win this, but could pinch a first four spot.

4 Exceed Speed (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat for me. Total forgive from several weeks ago at Toowoomba when doing early work to land on speed but despite that, he loomed to win but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to Ludovisi. He’ll press forward and take beating.

1 Free Carry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over this track/distance when getting front end control and nearly led throughout but just found one better in Victory Win. Good racing style, hard fit, racing well…hard to beat.

6 Northern Decree (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing several weeks back at the Gold Coast over 1800m. He got off speed and seemed to have his chance but just whacked in the run to the line behind Walsh Bay, one of the more in form gallopers in QLD. Back to the mile I like and prior efforts were more than sound.

9 Epic Proportions (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He ran over this trip last Saturday at Eagle Farm when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third. Tumbles in weight, will press forward and give cheek.

8 Midnight In Tokyo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Archibald trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since the Ramornie when back near last in the run and failed to get involved behind Sha Of Gomer. Looked very sharp in a recent trial win at Deagon, watch betting.

1 Oughton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came three weeks back at this track/distance where he got off speed and kept chasing without threatening. The run was still a big pass mark I thought though behind Epic Proportions. Can be ridden with more intent and still be effective. Right in the mix.

4 Heman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance whem back in the run and spotted those in front a decent start but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat behind the very much in form Anemacore. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

10 Centennial Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a total forgive for the first up flop on Melbourne Cup Day when pulling up with Cardiac Arrhythmia, something that is unbeaten. Horses generally bounce back hard from that and he had trialled well prior so watch betting.

13 Ten Good Reasons (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1350m after resuming over 1000m here two weeks back where he just found them a bit sharp but he stayed on and was pretty good in defeat I thought when third. He’ll be strong late I suspect and has good upside to come.

12 Bundella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a decent short course type and looks suited at the 1110m after a dominant all the way win over 1000m at the Sunny Coast, leading throughout and he didn’t give her rivals a look in. Extra 110m should be fine, good racing style, rates highly I say.

3 Shot Of Whiskey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well but is finding it hard to win. He has been runner up his past two, the latest being over 1200m here three weeks back when attempting to lead throughour and for the most part, was hailed as the winner, only getting nabbed late by Colophon. Back to 1110m, lands near the front, only runs well I say.

4 Mean Approach (Bet Now:  $SP.00) maps much better here vs first up at Eagle Farm on Cup Day. He got back and wide in the run and looked to be trucking but he was gassed when asked for the effort. Better for the run, maps to settle much closer, he’s dangerous here.

3 Pereille (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be absolutely humming for Tony Gollan with a Summer assault on the cards for this former Godolphin runner, went like an absolute rocket in a trial last week and he appears ready to rock and roll. Hopefully the market agrees.

2 Caspernova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good horse and off a win, he has to be rated as one of the leading contenders. That win came at Doomben where he looked a moral on paper and despite a few nervous moments in the run, class kicked in and he was too good. He can go on with it.

13 Surprise Honey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Tony Gollan. She ran second to Cosmo Centaurus last time out. She landed on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through, nabbed late. Tick over trial was sharp, she’ll run well.

BEST BET: Race One Number 1 Itchintogo

NEXT BEST: Race Two Number 4 Mr Buster

LONG SHOT: Race Three Number 3 Vandevelde
