Nine races have been set down for Eagle Farm this Saturday in a return to racing at the track. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (11:58) Become A Brc Member Hcp 1400m
3 Without Delay (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Neasham/Archibald trained gelding that was met with good market support when debuting at Ipswich and #They got it right as he finished best to win well. Good upside and this race, as a whole, isn’t overly deep.
4 Pope Cody (Bet Now: $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1400m. He resumed three weeks back at Doomben behind Tessatori where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway and was good in defeat. Better set up here and if he can settle closer, he’ll still be effective late.
6 Mine Kart Carnage (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Mark Currie trained gelding that comes through a 1200m maiden at Toowoomba where he was just off the speed and trucking before angling into clear air and he put them away with ease to win and win well. Extra 200m is fine, will press forward, leading contender.
Race 2. (12:33) Eagle Farm Racing Museum (Rs0mw) 1400m
1 Crazy Train (Bet Now: $SP.00) is bursting to win for Matty Dunn and she finds a very winnable race here. She ran on Murwillumbah Cup Day and kept finding the line with purpose in a pretty good effort behind impressive winner and stablemate Cranky Harry. Back in trip and back to Mares grade, she takes beating.
2 My Pins (Bet Now: $SP.00) is flying for Bevan Laming and has earned a crack in town. This girl won over this trip at the Sunny Coast last time when just off the speed before being presented clear air ad she let down with good change up speed to win and win well. Good upside, in form, rates highly.
5 Pippistrelle (Bet Now: $SP.00) has been too good for them up North so she has earned a crack in town for Ricky Vale. 2/2 this time in, the latest win being over 1500m at Cairns when giving them a start and a beating from last for a big win. Good test here at metro level but I think she can measure up.
Race 3. (13:08) Spring Carnival Book Now (Bm70) 1200m
3 John Rambo (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks the one with the most upside. He resumed behind Compelling Truth a fortnight back when off the speed and kept chasing but wasn’t beating the winner, who looked a class above and was impressive. Good set up here I feel and does have good upside. Appeals big time.
16 Miss Tambo (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks to have returned in pretty good order for Tony Gollan. Three weeks between runs since resuming over 1200m at Doomben. She got a fair way out of her ground but I did like the way she finished her race off in defeat behind Hoot N Holler, beaten 3.7L. Can settle much closer and with good upside, rates highly.
6 Starry Eyes (Bet Now: $SP.00) is an improver at odds for Chris Anderson. Forgive the first up run I feel given he did work from the gate and just couldn’t sustain the run, feeling the pinch late in the piece. If he can get a better run in transit, his best is good enough to be a threat.
Race 4. (13:43) Luke Loves Maria Plate (C3) 1800m
I have to give 4 Triple Money (Bet Now: $SP.00) another chance. On face value, he was terrible last Saturday at Doomben and thankfully the vet found reasons for the flop, with a poor post race recovery and pulling up with thumps. A total forgive run and prior efforts suggested a win was coming. Have to go again.
7 Hillcrest Avenue (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks to have returned in pretty good order and should appreciate a rise to 1800m. He did more than enough fresh over 1400m at the Sunny Coast before going to the mile at Doomben two weeks back when on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish the race off behind surprise winner Credit Controller. I think with a patient steer, bunny to chase, he can improve out of sight.
1 Extra Manners (Bet Now: $SP.00) commands respect for Brett Bellamy. He was close up in defeat behind Credit Controller but I think you can easily make a case that with clear air, he goes close to winning. Gets in well after the claim and is racing like a rise to 1800m will suit. Leading contender.
Race 5. (14:23) Sky Racing (Bm78) 1000m
6 Muschialli (Bet Now: $SP.00) is dangerous I feel with his best. Tony Gollan trained gelding that didn’t disgrace himself two back behind Avone at Doomben before going to the Sunny Coast last week when ridden with intent to land on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through behind Reliable Ruby, a track/distance specialist. Hard to beat back to this level, as well with a patient steer IMO.
1 Liquor (Bet Now: $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down. She has been kept on ice for Tony Gollan, having not raced since August 10 at the Sunny Coast when ridden with a sit and was too good, just. She showed good versatility there, and the tick over trial last week was quite good. Hard to beat against these.
8 Mr Galazi (Bet Now: $SP.00) will put himself on speed and look to give his all. He did that three weeks ago at Doomben and gave a strong kick but lacked the quality to go with the very much in form Avone. Good racing style, tough and I am sure will look the winner for a long way.
Race 6. (14:58) Eva Air Plate (C6) 1200m
2 Cloudland (Bet Now: $SP.00) has a bit on these re class doesn’t he? Kris Lees trained gelding that resumed over 1200m at Randwick when near the speed throughout and tried his guts out but Willaidow had it too good in front and kicked on best. Fitter, class edge, good upside, keen.
1 Manhood (Bet Now: $SP.00) is bursting to win for the Neasham/Archibald camp. Three weeks between runs since attempting to lead throughout at Doomben and gave a very strong kick but just didn’t have the class to go with Boom Torque late in the piece. Hard fit, good racing style…hard to beat.
5 Pocket Full (Bet Now: $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep for Stuart Kendrick. Market said he’d need the run when resuming two weeks ago over 1200m at Doomben where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway and was pretty good in defeat behind Hold On Honey. Bigger track, good upside, can settle closer, takes beating I say.
Race 7. (15:33) Xxxx Qlty Hcp 1600m
1 Viminele (Bet Now: $SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. Not given the best of steers two weeks ago at Doomben but he was still strong to the line in winning. He has that 1600m run and win under the belt now, which holds him in good stead for this. Hard to beat.
7 Awash (Bet Now: $SP.00) commands some level of respect. He comes through the Medatsu race from a few weeks back. He got into a decent spot off the speed and presented to win but couldn’t quite finish the job, settling for a fifth. That was his first run in a few weeks so with upside to come, he’s right in the mix.
5 A Deel Of Humour (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 2000m in the Mackay Cup. She got back to near last in the run and did make up ground but was never really a winning threat. The first up win at this track/distance was strong and overall, this isn’t a deep contest.
Race 8. (16:12) Ladbrokes Blackbook Qlty Hcp 1000m
4 Hidden Wealth (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the one in a two horse for mine. Tony Gollan trained sprinter that resumes after a fat prep last time in, ending the campaign with two sharp wins, both coming over 1200m here. He does have a fab record at 1000m, his trial was sharp, he likely leads and takes running down.
1 Far Too Easy (Bet Now: $SP.00) is the best horse in the race. Just a matter of where he is at re fitness. He has eyes on The Kosciuszko and will use this to clean out the cobwebs, but that is not to say he can’t win because he has shown to be effective at 1000m previously and he is the class factor.
3 Rubiquitous (Bet Now: $SP.00) is a Chris Anderson trained gelding that comes here off a break. This guy has been kept on ice since August 3 when racing over 1050m at Doomben when near the speed and felt the pinch late in the piece behind Vodka Martini. Tick over trial last week at Deagon was strong and his best is more than good enough.
Race 9. (16:48) Gallopers Sports Club (Rs0mw) 1400m
2 Warby… (Bet Now: $SP.00) gee he is becoming a costly horse to follow but surely a win is coming. No denying the engine is under the hood but his race sense is really poor. He just got too far back at Doomben three weeks ago but he rocketed late, just missing out on the win when a narrow second to Hell. Just needs to settle closer and he’ll be winning IMO.
6 Kadall (Bet Now: $SP.00) is two weeks between runs for the Neasham/Archibald camp since racing over 1350m at Doomben where he looked the winner on the turn but couldn’t quite finish the race off behind Blakmax. Better for the run and this isn’t an overly deep race.
13 Poseidon Ruler (Bet Now: $SP.00) is one I can entertain at odds. Team Munce trained gelding that resumed behind Compelling Truth. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was solid enough in defeat I thought. If he can settle closer, he will be strong late and can win.
