1. Seize The Day: Seize The Day is a class Kiwi that makes his Aussie debut for Mark Walker. He showed really good promise in NZ, enough to come down under, and his jumpout work has been quite strong. Watch betting.
2. Unit Five: Unit Five is the Magic Millions winner that resumes. His last run came in the Blue Diamond where nothing went right. Spelled, given a good break, jumped out well for the return and does have class. Watch betting.
3. Rich On Bubbles: Plain first up and doesn’t look to have come up.
4. Obambulate: Interesting horse who did nice things when last in work. Jumped out well, watch betting.
5. Confederation: If there was one from the Vain, I’d say it would be Confederation. He didn’t get a lot of room behind Hard Kick in the straight and Ben Melham couldn’t really get stuck into him. Had trialled super prior and I think with room to move, he’s dangerous.
6. Seraphox: Nice horse but think he’ll be back and working to the line with eyes towards the Guineas.
7. Phillip Island: Impressive last start maiden win but think he’s up against it here.
8. Put To The Sword: SCR
9. American Eagle: Think he is a Caulfield Guineas horse but I think he’ll find these a fraction.
10. Aethera: I think she’s the best horse in the race. But on a Thousand Guineas path, think she may need the run. But, watch betting.
11. Autumn Lover: Nice filly but think she’s outclassed.
