Ten races will be run and won at Randwick this Saturday where it is Bob Charley Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out eight metres for the entire circuit.

3 Ozzmosis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one in the opener for Bjorn Baker. He must have felt good under J Mac to make him make a midweek trip to Gosford for the debut, and it was a worthwhile trip because he won with a fair amount of arrogance, not really being fully extended yet still clocked fast late splits. He’s got the engine under the hood and confident he measures up.

7 Royal Tribute (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a well bred son of Snitzel that is on debut for GaiBott. He’s had two trials to get ready for start one, including a win over Fleetwood, who franked the form at Warwick Farm, so that reads well enough, and the latest trial win was over 1050m, so he’s had a decent grounding to run a positive race here.

2 Fleetwood (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a James Cummings trained juvenile that comes to Saturday grade after resuming with a win at the midweeks at Warwick Farm where Nash got him into a beaut spot behind the speed before angling clear and in a driving finish, was able to finish best. Good upside to come and the extra 100m should be fine. One of the leading contenders.

8 Diamond Diesel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat if there is petrol left in the tank. He ran at Rosehill in a Midway a few weeks ago when wide no cover for the trip and for a few strides, looked gone, but he ran through the pain barrier and kept finding the line when second to Sweet Mercy. If he gets a more economical run in transit, he’ll take holding out.

7 Ottilie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and prove hard to run down. She did that when resuming a fortnight back here in the Midway and gave a very strong kick but couldn’t quite finish it off and was run down late by Crafty Eagle. The end of 1200m is the knock with the jump/run tactics but if the track is playing up/in, then she becomes quite dangerous.

5 Broken Arrows (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been good in two runs back from a spell and should take beating against these. Both runs back from a spell have come in Midways, resuming with a fourth to Turning at Gosford before racing here two weeks ago and was good late without threatening behind Crafty Eagle, a very nice horse. If he can settle closer in the run, he’ll take holding out.

17 Zouatica (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is better than country grade and is one of the hardest to beat. He ran under two weeks ago at Nowra where he led throughout and gave his rivals a spanking from the front, winning by a space and winning with something in hand. Extra 100m should be fine for him, good racing style, hard fit, in form…likeable.

15 Amarantz (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a really good prep for Danielle Seib. Market said she’d run well when resuming a fortnight ago in the Highway here and she was a real eye catcher from the back, clocking good late splits when beaten just over four lengths by Demitasse. Good second up record and if she can settle closer in the run, she’s certainly dangerous.

9 Sungblue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win a Highway and I think he gets a great chance here. He has contested Highways his past two runs, running third at Scone before racing here two weeks ago when on speed and was hailed as the winner but was nabbed late by Demitasse. He was 1600m back to 1400m then so back up to 1600m, he’s hard to beat.

1 Kibou (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the more fascinating runners on the card. GaiBott trains this three year old, who looked a potential Group l horse at the start of the season but injury has kept him away from the races since August. He has come back this time in and with two strong trial wins under the belt, I think he’s here to rock and roll. The one to beat and hopefully the market agrees.

9 Union Army (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice horse for the Ryan/Alexiou camp and is one of the hardest to beat. I thought he was a bit plain two back at Scone but bounced back to positive form two weeks ago here where you can easily make a case to say that with clear air, he wins the race instead of a luckless fifth to Yoshino, getting badly held up at a vital stage. If the breaks go his way, he can take this out.

8 Growl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can be an improver at odds. He resumed off a long layoff at Warwick Farm where the market said he had three legs and ran accordingly, but did trial up very well prior to that and his form when in Victoria reads well enough to command respect.

4 Lekvarte (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up for Joe Pride after racing last Saturday at Rosehill where they were running fast late splits for the meeting and given her racing pattern of getting back, she just couldn’t get involved behind Robusto so be forgiving of the effort. On a fairer track here, hopefully, I think she can improve out of sight and take this out.

10 Centrestone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a lightly raced mare heading in the right direction. Chris Waller trains this girl, who has won three of her four career starts, resuming with a big win over 1350m at Doomben where she gave them a start and a beating, finishing off with real purpose to get up and win. Has more upside than most and maps to get a beaut run in transit.

3 Pin Me Up (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can run a cheeky race at a price. Former Kiwi that made her Australian debut for Clarry Conners two weeks back here over 1400m and I didn’t think was too bad in defeat from off the speed, finishing around 3.4L away from Mirra View in a solid return. Like her up in trip and can settle much closer in the run. Dangerous if she brings her best NZ form.

The potential is there for this lot to go silly in front and that should set up for 9 Miss Dior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to be one of the strongest at the end. She resumes for Team Snowden, having not raced since October 5 at Canterbury when struggling on the heavy 10. Given a good break and with two trials under the belt, she appeals.

11 Passegiata (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Bjorn Baker trained filly that resumes. She did a really good job in her first prep, which ended with a close up sixth to Lucky Variety here after doing too much work on speed. Loved the way she has trialled to get ready. Just a matter of what pressure she cops on speed.

2 Our Bellagio Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) saves her best for Randwick so I wouldn’t be dismissing her. She was big odds when resuming here two weeks back and despite being beaten five lengths, the run had plenty of merit I thought given the work she did from the wide gate, and only really knocked up late. If she can get a more economical run in transit, she could be dangerous at a big price.

10 Super Strike (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a horrendous racing pattern but there is no denying he has the talent to take this out. He resumed over 1400m here a fortnight back where he got a mile out of his ground, settling last, but rocketed to the line late in the piece behind Cisco Bay, running third. He is suited getting a rise in trip and if he’s within range, he can launch and finish over the top.

9 Democracy Manifest (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can be hit and miss at times but his best is clearly good enough to take this out. He was kept very safe in betting when racing a fortnight back over 1400m here and was pretty good from near last in the run, beaten 1.6L by Cisco Bay and clocked decent late splits. Think if he can settle closer in the run and be within range, he has the finale to beat these.

6 Steely (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ready to rock and roll here for the Ryan/Alexiou camp. Did more than enough fresh in the Luskin Star at Scone behind Opal Ridge before going to 1400m here two weeks ago where he got off the speed and kept finding the line strongly, only run down late by Cisco Bay. Love him up to the mile and third up from a break, should just about be at peak fitness.

2 Zethus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been strong in two runs back from a spell and third up, he looks primed to run well. Latest run was at Doomben a few weeks ago in the Chief De Beers and was a real eye catcher from near last when close up in defeat behind the in form Mishani Sniper. Has the potential to settle much closer in the run, he appeals big time.

6 Dragonstone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat against this lot and did win this race last year. First run for Joe Pride came here two weeks ago and I thought warmed to the task nicely late in the piece when beaten 2.5L by Conscript. He’d love a bit of cushion in the ground because that is when he does excel, so that, has the run under the belt, he clearly appeals.

12 Spacewalk (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to a fast run 1100m and prove hard to beat against these. Far from disgraced two back in the Gold Coast Guineas behind Yellow Brick before going back to 1110m in the Darby McCarthy a few weeks ago and kept finding the line, just missing out on the win when a narrow second to Golden Boom. That was his second run off a freshen up so hard fit and in a fast run 1100m, he’ll take beating.

9 Pizarro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in super order and I reckon can take this out. He resumed at Randwick two weeks ago over 1100m where he was run off his legs early but he picked up and finished his race off strongly when second to impressive winner Conscript. Truly run 1300m, hopefully use the inside gate to advantage, I think he only runs well.

3 Titanium Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited back up to 1300m. Game third over this trip two back in the Luskin Star before going back to 1100m here two weeks back where he probably just found them a bit sharp but was far from disgraced in defeat behind Conscript. Much better placed up to 1300m again and with some level of control on speed, he’s going to take running down.

6 Zoushack (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for wider multiples. He did a good job fresh at Rosehill on a bog before having a mini break and racing here two weeks back where he just did a bit too much work early from the wide gate and that burn just told late in the piece. Think getting to 1600m is fine and with that recent run under the belt, he’s an improver.

5 Crafty Eagle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is better than Midway grade so keen to see how he goes at metro level. He resumed two weeks ago in the Midway and gee I thought he was dominant, sitting wide no cover but was trucking in the run. Just a matter of pushing the button and once he did, he gapped them and was impressive. Maps to get a sweet run and up to 1400m, I like him.

12 Gundy Bridge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another chance for GaiBott. Market said he was a good thing when resuming over 1400m at Sandown but he seemingly didn’t let down on the shifty track at all and failed to fire a shot behind British Columbia, who would be close to favourite here. Back on firmer footing and back in Sydney, off his efforts last prep, he’ll take beating.

13 Redwood Shadow (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. He was an eye catcher when racing here two weeks back, settling near last in the run and making up solid ground behind Phearson without threatening. That is three runs on the bounce at 1300m so now getting to 1400m, can settle a pair or two closer, he’s certainly dangerous against these.

NEXT BEST: Race Ten Number 5 Crafty Eagle

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 10 Super Strike
