The team at JustHorseRacing.com.au are avid watchers of the TVN program and we believe a lot of our readers would agree it is by far the most comprehensive racing program available thus we want to show our support to the program and the cause they are supporting. Read about the cause, and help support the Sydney Children’s Hostpital.
About The Cause:
The Emergency Department at Sydney ChildrenΓ’β¬β’s Hospital
Each year the Emergency department cares for 30,000 children, two thirds under six years of age. Many cases are common illness and injuries Γ’β¬β bronchiolitis in young babies, febrile convulsions and gastroenteritis in toddlers, fractures and lacerations from falls and sports. About 20% are admitted to the Hospital with critical illness or injury requiring needing intensive care.
The Emergency Service also cares for children with chronic health problems who become acutely unwell Γ’β¬β children on cancer treatment who develop infections, ex-premature babies who develop breathing problems, children with epilepsy who have prolonged convulsions.
The Emergency Service extends across the state to offer specialist support to doctors in smaller metropolitan and rural hospitals with the care of children with severe injuries from car accidents, children with meningitis or severe asthma.
The funds raised through the 4Tracks4Kids will fund more specialist staff to provide better care for children.
About The Walk:
On 2 August 2010, A group of racing’s big names will team up to walk from Rosehill Racecourse to Randwick Racecourse via Warwick Farm and Canterbury racecourses. Richard Callander, John O’Shea, Duncan McRae,H ugh Bowman and another special guest will embark on this quest to raise vital funds for the Sydney Children’s Hospital. 60 long kilometres it will be and will kick off at 6am in the morning.
What started as a whim on TVN, before the New Zealand vs Italy World Cup Soccer match, has now turned into the longest walk of Richie’s life.
Along the walk, Richie and his men will be bucket collecting, but YOU can donate right here right now. Dig deep!
