Ka Ying Rising extended his winning streak to 15 in dazzling style on Sunday, cruising through his Hong Kong return exactly as anticipated.
The The Everest winner was sent out at virtually unbackable odds for the G2 Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) and delivered accordingly, putting a clear gap on his rivals first-up from his successful Australian campaign.
Jockey Zac Purton offered a typically upbeat assessment, with the official margin 2.75 lengths over Fast Network ($18), ridden by James McDonald.

“He’s come back in great order – his barrier trial told us that.
“Just his demeanour at the track, and the way he looks – I’ve never seen him look so good.
“It’s good for him to back up what we were thinking.”
Purton noted the champ was eager throughout despite stopping the clock just 0.13s outside his own track record.
“Mid-race, (race leader) Beauty Waves was probably half a step too slow for me,” the star hoop said.
“I know we’ve (gone close to) track record time, he was on his tippy-toes behind him wanting to go half-a-stride quicker.
“That’s the beauty with this horse – the faster they go, the better he is.”
