Horse racing in the united States has sunk to a new low with a racetrack official being involved in a just….horrible incident.
North American racing woke to the news this morning, that a mare who had died overnight, had been picked up and placed…in a dumpster.
And she still had her racing plates and bandages on her ankles.
The sight of this was the most disturbing thing.
No-one can confirm how she died, why she died or even when she died, but there have been any amount of calls by individuals and PETA to have the Country sheriff investigate.
The track where this horror occurred is Mountaineer Park in West Virginia.
At best it’s a forgettable track with a lot of very slow horses.
Naturally, this has set everyone in thoroughbred racing on fire and social media is on fire.

It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but the mare is believed to be BRIDGET MOLONEY (Pollard’s Vision-Margarita Nites) who was injured in a race yesterday.
If this is the mare, that makes the cruelty anmd heartache of this even worse. Bridget Moloney won 20 races for her connections.
Strained every muscle, sinew and energy to do good for her connections earning US$400,000, which by any measure is great but at lowly Mountaineer Park it is superb.
And this is her reward….A fucking dumpster!
This is exactly what the industry everywhere all over the world, especially the US, DOES NOT need in Breeders Cup week but could also affect this weekends Caulfield Cup and The Everest meetings and continue into Melbourne Cup week where anti-racing protestors are looking for any issues to push.
