Newgate Farm will be well represented at this years Inglis Easter Yearling sales

Those looking for million dollars winners, and wearing Elton John ‘dollar sign glasses,’ then don’t go past Newgate Farm’s First Season Sire Bonus Incentive at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

It may be your own Capitalist, the Golden Slipper Stakes winner, your own Blue Diamond Stakes winner in Extreme Choice, a Coolmore Stud Stakes winner in Flying Artie and of course Winning Rupert, the Champagne Classic winner.

Not content, your 2020 Easter Yearling hero may take you further down that Inglis Sales Series ‘yellow brick road’ with fellow graduate Inglis Dreamforce winning the George Ryder Stakes, Castelvecchio the Rosehill Guineas, Loving Gabby the William Reid Stakes and Shadow Hero the Randwick Guineas.

However, in eyeing these million-dollar prizes Newgate Farm is offering a $250,000 cash bonus for buyers at all 2020 Inglis Yearling Sales and Magic Millions Yearling Sales who buy a yearling by their first crop sires Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie and Winning Rupert.

“We would love nothing better than to reward a lucky buyer for supporting our young sires in the sale ring next year,” said Henry Field, Managing Director. “They will have ample opportunity with a big representation by all our young guns at the major sales.”

“All four stallions were outstanding juveniles, covering exceptional books of mare and we are proud of their progeny going to this Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. We believe buyers have an excellent chance to collect on our bonus in 2021 and we will be cheering them on.”

Newgate Farm will pay a $250,000 bonus to the recorded buyer listed in all William Inglis & Son and Magic Millions Sales results, not online, for any 2yo by Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie or Winning Rupert that can win the 2021 Inglis Millennium or 2021 Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

They have certainly given all Easter Yearling buyers every chance to collect the $250,000 bonus incentive by offering five well credentialed yearling by Champion 2YO Capitalist, the majority with black type first dam representation.

Of course, Capitalist was leading First Season Sire at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearlings where his 34 yearlings averaged $239,706 with his Booklet colt being the top-price of $750.00 to James Herron Bloodstock on account of Newgate Farm as agent.

An additional 20 Capitalist yearling are from such respected consigners as Kitchinwin Hills, Milburn Creek, Widden, Segenhoe, Willow Park, Corumbene, Torryburn, Macquarie, Sledmere, Middle Park and Little Avondale Studs plus B2B Thoroughbreds.

Extreme Choice has five yearlings on offer including the Magical Steps filly from Newgate. Flying Artie is represented by colts from Gr1 winner Carry On Cutie, the family of The Mision, and stakes winner Kentucky Miss while Winning Rupert has a colt from the US stakes winner Plethora.

Newgate Farm has also consigned 27 lots by such champion sires as Snitzel, Pierro, Tavistock, Not A Single Doubt, I Am Invincible, Into Mischief, Written Tycoon and triple crown hero American Pharoah.

“We are proud in what we have achieved at Newgate, being a property that has produced notable winners over decades, most notably with Carl Power as Brooklyn Lodge,” Henry Field stated. “Actually, the success of Carl Power greatly influenced us in buying the property.”

“Since first consigned yearlings as Newgate in 2013, six Group 1 winners have come from three yearling drafts of racing age. Last Spring we were proud to have two 3yo Group 1 winners with Shadow Hero winning the Spring Champion Stakes and Exceedance take out the Coolmore Stud Stakes.”

In a revised format adhering to the Governments COVIT-19 pandemic restrictions on live auctions William Inglis have implemented this Australian Easter Yearling Sale through the traditional Inglis Digital bidding platform.

As Inglis stated ‘the bidding platform will open at 10am Sunday 5 April with the final countdown of lots to commence in sequential order from 10am Tuesday 7 April. The option will be made available for vendors to participate in Easter Round 1, Easter Round 2 or both.’

‘Easter Round 1 will take the form of a digital auction as previously advised. Easter Round 2 will take the form of a live auction on Sunday 5 July, subject to conditions being deemed suitable by Inglis to proceed as a live auction on this date.’

‘This sale will be available to horses catalogued for the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale that have chosen to defer to Easter Round 2 or lots that were passed-in through Easter Round 1.’
