The latest World’s Best Racehorse rankings by Longines have been released with Winx remaining at the top whilst the horse in second position is set to clash with the Champion mare in this years Cox Plate.
Winx sits as the highest ranking horse whilst Poet’s Word is in equal second position with the now retired Gun Runner.
Poet’s Word has been nominated and is expected to head to Australia to contest the 2018 Cox Plate in which Winx is the overwhelming $1.50 favourite whilst Poet’s Word sits on the fourth line of betting at $26.
The clash between the two horses will mean fans will get to see the two highest ranked horses in the world going head to head in what is racings greatest spectacle the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
