Winx again has been #2 to American galloper Arrogate
The latest announcement of the The LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings have been made public and surprisingly Winx has again not taken top spot.
The Rankings were released this morning Australian time which sees Arrogate retain the top spot despite losing his last three races by margins whilst Winx has failed to improve in the ratings despite piling on another 3 Group One wins and 2 Group Two wins this preparation.
Arrogate was again disappointing in his last in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and has now been officially retired to stand at stud.
The Chris Waller-trained Winx is still rated as the world’s best racehorse on turf although second overall.
Arguably the other surprises are that Enable is fifth and Gun Runner who beat Arrogate comprehensively this week could not move above Cracksman.
The next best Australian horse is Chatauqua who sits tied in 11th with a host of other Australian gallopers lower down in the rankings.
