Champion mare Winx and her jockey Hugh Bowman are set to be immortalised on a grain silo in Bowman’s hometown of Dunedoo.
Winx is known as arguably the best racehorse the country has ever seen will see her photo and that of jockey Hugh Bowman painted onto an old Graincorp silo in Dunedoo which is located north east of Dubbo in New South Wales.
Winx was retired earlier this year with 37 wins from 43 starts.
She won 33 straight races, remaining unbeaten from May 2015 until her final race in April.
Her tally included a world record 25 Group One victories including three Cox Plates.
The idea is to help tourism in the town by the continuation of the Silo Art Trails which has been commissioned to bring travellers and tourists to western communities.
